Raw ground pork
Could not return pack of ground pork because it was used/mixed up with other ingredients for meatballs. It was upon mixing, that I came across bone fragment after bone fragment. Some of the bone was triangular and pointy in shape. Other pieces felt grainy like sand. A ton of stringy cartilage and hard green (tiny) bits. I do know green grit shouldn’t be in any raw meat!! It took me roughly 40 minutes to mix and squish a little at a time searching for bone pieces to throw out. Every meatball formed had to again be squashed and inspected before cooking. In retrospect, I should have just taken the loss, thrown it all out, and ordered a pizza. The process was so gross that I couldn’t get past the nauseating visual to eat dinner. I have purchased this pork previously without any issues. Maybe the meat processing machines need to be sharpened. Ultimately it comes down to human inspectors and what is relayed to owners whose name is on the packaging. They need to do better.

Its fattier than it used to be
I feel like the others, the quality used to be better. It's more fatty now. Also, the last time I bought it, the packaged said 3.99 per pound and it was a 1lb package but it rang up at 4.49. They raised the price but didnt change the price tag on the packaging. But, still a good price if you want fattier ground pork. For more lean, you will need to look elsewhere.

Chunks of ugggh...
This used to be my go to.... but now there's always weird chunks--- of bone, large white pieces (like cartilage) that don't break down and just very obviously more "filler parts" being added!
