Very disappointed in the change to the sauce.
This product was absolutely my favorite. The sauce changed in 2026 is now horrible flavor. I hope they change it back, if not I will no longer be purchasing this anymore.

I LOVED the old sweet and sour formula. What ever this bright orange colored thing is is terrible. It doesnt even taste like anything. I wrote to the company asking if I got a bad batch or if they changed it and they wrote back they are sorry I had a bad experience and are mailing me coupons for some free meals. No explanation. Great, I'll buy the General Tso's. At least until they wreck that, too.

This chicken doesn't have any chicken flavor. The sweet-and-sour sauce is a thick gel. It is not sweet or sour. It has a lot of unhealthy ingredients.

Loved this product until the sauce changed
This was one of my favorite food items all together until the sauce changed. The new sauce has a more bland and mass produced taste. I would highly recommend the former product but the change that is reported to have occured in the beginning of 2026 has caused me to completely stop eating this sadly.

Don't bother
The product photo and description sound so good...but it's nothing like restaurant food. The tempura batter doesn't get crispy (oven method) and stays pale and soft. The sauce is disgusting! It has an artificial, cardboard taste and smell.

Sauce change is no good!
I used to love the old sweet and sour sauce that was more orange colored and much more tangy. The only reason I would buy this brand was because of the sauce. Now the more red colored sauce is just terrible! After a very bad day at work I came home wanting my favorite meal and was so incredibly disappointed that I actually started crying. I used to buy the fried rice and the egg rolls too but now I will never buy any products from this brand again.

I've been buying this product for years. I was so glad to finally taste again the flavor of Sweet and Sour chicken I so fondly remembered as a kid. It was from a family-owned Chinese restaurant that is closed down... they made everything from scratch. Please bring back the old recipe

My 8 year old was in love with this dish. He would ask for it daily and now he hates it since they changed the sweet and sour sauce recipe. Please please please bring back the old recipe.

No pineapple and considering if it was really chicken
I like invasion products. I've had several of them and they were wonderful however, I tried the sweet and sour with pineapple in it. There was no pineapple, and the chicken was sliced so thin, and it was breaded on both sides and it was still only about the thickness of a nickel. It was very rubbery and stretchy. I was wondering if it was chicken.

The other reviews are good so maybe I just got a bad box but this was HORRIBLE. The sauce was bitter and didn't taste like sweet and sour sauce at all and the chicken tasted like chemicals
