Gourmet Garden Lightly Dried Chopped Parsley - 0.35oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given a free sample to experiment with so I made a couple of dishes with my parsley. First I made cowboy butter with Calabrian chili peppers, garlic, parsley and thyme. I used this to braise whole onions. While that was baking I used the rest of the container for a smoky chimmichuri sauce that I served over roasted chicken on a salad. I was impressed at how fresh and green the parsley was in the container, and it added a fresh pop to my meal! I looks forward to trying the other herbs in this product line!

I added the entire container to a ground turkey and rice meal and it was delicious. I rarely even use any kind of parsley, but I will buy this again so I can have it on hand.

Opening the foil seal of the Gourmet Garden Lightly Dried Chopped Parsley took a little bit of muscle but I did get it opened. It did have a little bit of a weird smell when I initially opened it and I wasn't sure how it was going to taste but it actually tasted fine. I'm looking forward to trying it in some of my other recipes. I was a little unsure of the look of it being the parsley looks wet but it wasn't at all...hence lightly dried. The container is more than 1/3 cup and less than 1/2 cup and keeps quite well in the fridge in it's covered container. For the convenience, this is priced a bit high, but I think it's definitely worth it to cut down the time and effort of chopping fresh parsley. I'm glad I was given the opportunity to try this product and will be buying it in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I sampled the Gourmet Garden Lightly Dried Chopped Parsley. The container has an easy to open lid, and the foil seal was also easy to open. As soon as the seal cracked, you could smell fresh parsley. I was impressed with how fresh the parsley was, because even though it says "lightly dried', I was expecting it to be a lot dryer. This felt as though it had been chopped earlier, but left on the counter. Still fresh, but easier to handle. The big problem that I have with it, is that it is salted. I wanted the pure taste of chopped parsley, not a salted version. It made my dish saltier than I prefer. Sea salt is written in the ingredients list, but who is reading that, when in big letters, it says "Chopped Parsley", and under that "lightly dried"? Maybe they could change that to "lightly dried and salted" or just leave out the salt... It reseals well, and I think it might actually stay fresh for a few more weeks. I would purchase this again, but I would keep in mind that the recipe would have to be adjusted for the salty taste. It does save a lot of time cleaning and chopping fresh parsley or having to clean out the food processor.

I normally like to use fresh herbs and spices. This was so convenient and tasted amazing. I used it as part of a marinade for a chicken meal. No chopping required and the taste was extremely fresh!

With it stay fresh for weeks you're able to have some extra flavor to all of your meals when cooking. I would recommend to friends. Not as good as fresh but way easier that having to keep fresh.

It’s a bit pricey so I only buy it when it’s on sale but this is so easy to use!

Picture is deceiving. Item is TINY, approximately 2x3 inches, and a price of $4.29 is outrageous.

This is great to have in hand when you can’t get fresh parsley.

For cooking, almost better than fresh. Slightly dried so more concentrated in flavor. Perfect for the best Italian meatballs.

I was irritated to see that canola oil was an ingredient in this product. Don't be fooled by that "USDA organic" label!! This is not healthy if it has canola oil. I promptly returned this product and went to my local market to buy fresh parsley with no canola oil!!

As expected. Tastes great in the recipe.
