Purina Tidy Cats Lightweight 4-in-1 Strength Plastic Jug Clumping Cat Litter

We have 4 cats that all use a Popur automatic litterbox. Using this litter, the waste box needs to be emptied once a week and it's not super heavy. All odors are extremely well contained and I don't have to deep clean the litterbox as often as I did using other litter. The 4 in 1 litter is scented, but it's pleasant and not overbearing. The 4 in 1 lightweight works much better than the normal 4 in 1. The normal 4 in 1 has much smaller granules that were a tracking nightmare.

General Shipping quality is very low. This is the third time I have had an order come completely open, spilled or in some sort of disarray. The newer tape is rarely actually stuck and I get open boxes or boxes retaped by the shipping company. Very frustrating.

Says product is 99.9% dust free. Sooooo far from the truth. Everything in the room is covered in cat litter dust. My cats litter box is covered, but I clean it every day. When I scoop the waste, dust goes everywhere. NOT HAPPY.

I do like the lightweight feature. I use the 21 day odor control & i do like that feature as well. I do have a couple things that annoy me. I find this litter sticks to my cats feet & they track it everywhere. Also it seems to clump pretty well but stays 'gummy', doesn't have dry clumps. It sticks to the litter scoops as I'm using them. Also this 'gummy' litter sticks to my cats feet as well.

I like it for my cat

This keeps the stink at bay, my cat likes it and it’s easy because it’s lightweight. Highly recommend

I’ve tried several other Tidy Cats formulas for the Litter Robot which ranged from okay to decent, so I was really surprised with this. The clumping action is very weak so the clumps stay wet and stick to the rubber globe liner even when trying to cycle (we even tried the longest wait time on the cycle setting) and builds up ammonia so it also stinks. I constantly had to check to see if I needed to manually remove the wet clumps off the globe. And on top of that it stuck to the cat’s feet and tiny clumps were all over my house and her cat trees. I’ve never had this happen before.

I had high hopes for this litter as it weighs so much less to carry from the store to the house. Unfortunately the litter has powder all over my tables, chairs, floors and cats. What a mess it made. Also it holds the smell and stinks. It didn't last the 21 days. Oh well I will keep searching for that perfect kitty litter.

The smell is so bad. It somehow makes the house smell more like cat fee than if I just had unscented litter

I recently decided to try Tidy Cat Lightweight Litter. When I poured it into the freshly scrubbed and totally dry litter box, I had night hopes for it. As advertised, it's a lightweight litter. I have just one cat, and I scoop his box every day, sometimes several times a day. This litter is heavily perfrumed, which I didn't like, but it did manage to control litter box odors. However, despite the name, this litter is anything BUT tidy. It clumped, not just inside the litter box but also to my cat's feet, so it ended up on the grooves in the top of the litter box, which would have been fine if it had stayed there, but it also ended up all over both the hardwood floor and the flat weave rug on which the litter box sits. It clung so well to my cat's paws that he even managed to track it all the way up the carpeted stairs to the second floor of our home. I won't buy this litter again, and I can't recommend it to anyone.

I can be picky on cat litter, but this one is the best I’ve found. Love that it is light weight and clumps well for easy pickup.

So scented it’s almost worse than just smelling the pee by itself. It’s just frangranced pee smell that fills your whole house. Don’t do it.

Great litter - controls all odors and is light weight making litter box maintenance much, much easier.

I like that it is light weight, but the clumps fell apart. My cat also tracks a lot of it out of the box, but she has hairy paws so it’s not the litter’s fault it’s just not right for her.

This litter has the most disgusting smell. As soon as I poured it in the litter box, the smell permeated my entire home and smelled like urine and nasty chemicals. I can’t believe this is even sold. It is so bad that I just poured it in last night and I’m dumping it all and throwing it away. I’ll never get this litter again and probably won’t trust anything else from this brand either.

They do absorb the smell better than typical litter however, it is the worst tracking litter ever.

Easy maintenance, great odor control

This cat litter is HORRIBLE!!! I have been purchasing this litter for a good few years but clearly something has changed in the formula. This litter clumps into huge, wet, clay-like clumps and never dries. It leaves the litter pan as well as the litter scoop wet and caked with litter. This is not a one off bad batch...I have had the same experience with the lightweight, multi cat, and instant action formulas in just the past month alone. The worst part is my cat now has litter so caked in one of his paws that it is going to require a trip to the groomer or vet because I cannot get it all off of his paw in between his toes. If I could give this litter negative stars I absolutely would! Save your cat and your money and purchase a different brand!

We appreciate the option of Tidy Cats lighter weight cat litter as we buy for multiple cats on a monthly basis and the regular litter is just too heavy for me to carry now.
