I think this is leaps and bounds ahead of original jim beam, I get vanilla, caramel and pb and j. Yes once mine opened up a peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich with a hint of banana. This could have been Elvis's drink of choice. It's fantastic.

I never thought that I would enjoy bourbon straight but here I am. I originally bought JB Black to use for an Old Fashioned (sorry purists, not a big fan of Rye) and was absolutely blown away by how much difference there was between their standard bourbon and this 7 year. After an Old Fashioned, I decided to try it on the rocks, and then neat. There is not a better bourbon on the market for this price, I can tell you that. It's rich, refreshing, simple, yet invites your palate to explore the many smooth notes you're tasting. Even if you're not a connoisseur, I implore you to nose it before you take a sip, it will enhance your experience. Quality bourbon, great price, what more could you ask for? The team at JB really knocked this one out of the park, they've made me a JB Black customer for life. Cheers.

I have enjoyed Jim Beam Black for many years and recommended it to many of my friends and associates who enjoy bourbon. It was always advertised on the bottle as having been aged for eight years. Now the "eight year" claim has been removed from the label, and the price has been raised by 20%. A "seven year" product is also on the shelves at the same higher price. Comparable and similar whiskies such as Maker's Mark are still sold for 20% less. You have priced your product significantly above its value and made it uncompetitive with other similar products.

Jim Beam Black 7 year old is going to set a new standard for a lower cost bourbon whiskey. This Kentucky juice definitely punches above its weight That becomes obvious with the first sip from my Glencairn. Great nose full of caramel and vanilla. The Whiskey continues to get better from there with a rich mouth feel and loads of traditional Flavors of caramel, vanilla sweet bread, and a hint of sugar icing oak finish. Kentucky bourbon whiskey at its finest.

I put this in a Glencairn whisky glass to truly taste it. It's a wonderful mellow neat sipping bourbon. Would not mix it with sweet things like Gingerale other than an old-fashioned or maybe a mint julep. This one is worthy to drink neat or in a traditional Manhattan. A lot of bang for the buck. This is definitely one of the better neat sipping bourbons for the price.

I enjoy sipping a "shot or two" Jim Beam Black "neat" with a drop of water Outstanding drinkability, taste, smooth finish Only problem is that it is rarely, if not at all, available in restaurants and bars... other fine Jim Beam bourbons are always available

I have only drank it with ginger ale over ice this far, but I plan to go neat with it on the next outing. This bourbon is as flavorful and smooth as brands 10-15 times the cost. I will continue to drink this for a very, very long time.

I have been experimenting with the more expensive bourbons. I have come back around to Jim Beam black and realized it is just as good with good strength and very smooth without the high price. I would highly recommend it. Kudos to Jim Beam.

I ran a "tournament" of sixteen everyday whiskies--mostly bourbons. Jim Beam Black was the winner, edging out Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond. Smooth and drinkable, with a lovely nose of apple and spice. Congrats, Jim Beam!

I just saw this bourbon in my local store and got it recommended for being extra smooth and tasty. Well, the seller was right. Jim Beam Black is definitely the best tasting bourbon for my mouth. Nuff said.
