Q: Am I missing a piece? The circular piece that holds the ball joint to the cd holder component seems to be too big, I can pull the ball right out of the holder.

I bought this magnet-based phone holder for my iPhone 13, hoping for a smooth road trip experience for Thanksgiving. Spoiler alert: it was anything but smooth! The magnet overheated my phone twice, refused to cooperate with my MagSafe phone case and charger and wouldn’t charge, and permanently disabled my eSim (so no phone calls, not even on wifi, and only texts with other iPhone users when connected to wifi). After 40 minutes on the phone with Verizon, my phone was deemed unrepairable so I’ll be receiving a replacement in 4 days (would’ve been sooner but it’s the holidays).

As you can see in one of the questions in Q&A it’s impossible to assemble this product. The magnetic part that was in my box is not the same as the magnetic in the directions. The “ball” end is too small and there’s an extra hook on the back that makes it impossible to assemble the way the photo directions instructed. I’m returning the product. Would have been nice to have an answer from the company on the Q&A but I’m assuming this is a packaging issue and they’ve packaged the wrong parts.

I’ve had this holder for approximately a year. It was fine for a few months but suddenly it stopped holding my phone when I go over bumps. This is a major issue since I live in LA and none of the freeways are flat. Plus, it’s usually when I’m relying on my phone’s gps and if the phone is suddenly on the passenger side floor, it becomes a dangerous driving situation.

Ingenious use of the CD player! magnet stays on wonderfully and the phone stays in place. My ABSOLUTE favorite phone mount. I drive an older Highlander and there weren't many options of where to put a phone mount. The others continuously vibrated out of place and fell when placed on the dash. this mount eliminated that problem

I went in-store and purchased this on 10/02/21. I went to install it in my car and found the part that inserts into the cd player to be a bit too thick. After a lot of forcing, I finally managed to get it into the cd slot. Thankfully my cd player is messed up anyways, otherwise I'd of went back into the store to return the item. Also as others have stated in their reviews, the magnet did not work at all inside my phone case. I had to stick it on the outside of it. Other than those 2 issues, this product does what it is intended to do quite well.

This CD slot phone holder was terrible from the start. I got a chance to even put it to use because it never stuck to my phone. On top of that, the magnet wasn’t strong enough to hold my phone. Really a waste of money and time. Threw it away the same day I brought it.
