Not worth it
This didn't pop well at all. lots of half pop and unopened kernels and it tasted sale. Not a good deal when so much is wasted.

Dry and grainy kernels not a fan
Kernels are tough and grainy. You have to use half the bag to get a good amount of popcorn. Lots of unpopped kernels. The quality of this popcorn is very low. Not a fan I won’t be buying these anymore.

this is legitimately my favorite brand of popcorn kernels. not sure if the bad reviews are bad batches or user error. i prepare it as i was taught as a little girl: big pasta pot, medium heat, enough oil in the pan to coat the bottom, add three kernels. cover & let all three pop. pour in enough kernels to cover the bottom. replace lid, shake every so often until popping slows. turn off heat and wait until it stops. perfect popcorn every time with maybe 20 of those yummy half popped kernels at the bottom.

Stale kernels!!
I tried these to save some money by going with the store brand, but it wasn’t worth it. The kernels tasted stale and didn’t have that fresh, fluffy texture I was expecting. Definitely learned my lesson on this one. Do yourself a favor and just go with Orville Redenbacher’s instead.

Good choice for popcorn snacks
I was glad to find this "old fashioned popcorn that can be cooked in a pan on the stove. Good price. Great for snacks.

Stale-Tasting, Doesn't Pop Well, And You Waste Half The Bag
I have experience with various popcorn kernel brands, ranging from budget-friendly options to well-known and store-branded products. However, this particular purchase has been an extremely disappointing experience and leaves a burnt taste in my mouth. Pun intended. I must state that these are, without a doubt, the lowest quality kernels I have ever purchased. Specifically, I have the following issues: 1. The kernels simply do not pop adequately, even when cooked using different types of oil and following proper cooking methods. 2. The popped kernels have a peculiar taste – they are simultaneously stale and oddly soft (not crunchy like popcorn), which is very unappetizing. 3. Within the same batch, roughly half of the kernels fail to pop at all, while the portion that does pop has an unpalatable, almost rancid flavor. 4. The entire popping process is slow and inefficient; it takes an extraordinarily long time for the kernels to pop, and the overall popping yield is very poor. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if these were accidentally 20 years old and this wasn't my first purchase. I sincerely hope that Target will address this quality issue and implement improvements to their popcorn kernel products in the future because it's almost unfathomable how terrible popcorn can be with the wrong ingredients (beginning with the kernels).

Hmmm. Kind of a mixed bag here. The product is sold in a chock full, heavy, resealable plastic bag. Pros - *Large* kernels. - *Vigorous* popping. - Seems to tastes as good as, if not a tad better than, Jolly Pop and W's GV house brand. Cons - Pops so vigorously that about 40% of the as-yet-unpopped kernels were kicked out of the heating chamber in a hot air popper. When unpopped kernels were placed in the popper for a second try, about 90% popped. Tear strip operation is a bit unpredictable. Remove it with scissors. Great choice for pan popping (with cooking oil). Not quite as suitable for hot air popping.
