IR doesn't work
Video over CAT6 works, but I can't get IR to work in any combination. I set up a test bench and tried everything. I bought this and then got delayed doing the project, so now it's too late to return it, so this will sit in my cabinet until maybe one day when I only need to extend HDMI.

Works well. Easy to use.
If it was ?power over cable? I?d give it 5+ stars. Simple plug and play.

Great HDMI extender
This works great in situations where you need to use CAT6 due to distance and/or get through conduit.

Great for production
Although I use the 50m extender for projects at home, I prefer this one for streaming live shoots. I would not use this on a prime camera, but we often need to send a GoPro signal from far away bonus wide shots. This item works well to send the signal and actually stabilize/normalize the GoPro output for those of you that may use this with an ATEM switcher. The GoPro is notorious for not playing well with the ATEM, even through BMD converters.

Works flawlessly
We used this to extend a screen to a remote area of our facility over our existing network. This was a temporary setup so we didn't want to invest in a more expensive fiber system, so we took a chance with this device. In total the distance between the sending switch and receiving switch was about 1.5 miles. We use a mix of singlemode & multimode fiber connecting the switches back to the core where everything is centrally connected. This system connected almost instantly upon obtaining an IP address. The system was in production for 3 weeks running 24/7 and we did not have a single issue.

Not working!
These are not like the other two sets that I bought, these look different and are causing a broken audio signal at the end of a 50 foot cat6 cable!

null
Worked great for HDMI ins and outs. Going from Mini DP IN to HDMI OUT resulted in visual compression that was noticeable.

Good alternative for a long run
Good alternative for a long run, up to 80-90 feet. Depends on how much signal youre pushing, Basic HDMI goes farther than a bigger signal 4k 3d return etc. Another factor is connectors. a straight run goes farther than going from source to a wall pass through, long run, another wall pas through etc. Cat6 cable will go a little farther than Cat5.

Blackbird HDMI - Cat 6 - Solid product - great price.
Product is working just fine. Setup was easy. We are using this to send computer output to a remote screen to display our ski race results at the awards stand, which is about 30 m away from our computer. Splitter works great so we can see what is on the remote TV. Because the wiring is not run in a straight line, we are pretty close to or over the limit of 50 m, so occasionally there will be some signal degradation. If you have a run of 40-50 m I would recommend the model with the larger range just to be sure you don’t go over. For the price and performance of this unit, I am very satisfied. Definitely recommend to others.

Video works great, but IR is NOT bi-directional
Video works great if you follow the process in the user manual. Distance is set via DIP switches, and you need to follow the process in the manual to get video stable. This is the trade-off with using a cheaper extender and something that's not HDBT. However, the specs list the IR as bi-directional. This is not the case. For whatever reason, IR can only be sent Rx to Tx. This is backwards from the way I wanted it to work (video sent out to a projector, and wanted to remotely control the projector), and I could not get anything to work in that direction. Of note - this does not support power over the cable, so you need power at both ends.

Ordered Two One Worked Great, One Didn't work
Might want to run some quality control so they don't ship out DOA. I tried the same HDMI and cat 6 cables, so wasn't a cable issue.
