I purchased these Monoprice - Monolith RCA cables for the connection of the pre-amplifier to the external-amplifier. (these RCA cables wasn't my first choice. my first choice cable can't fit the configuration of the Rotel RB-1582 Mk 2 RCA left and right inputs - they're 8-1/2 inches apart) These RCA cables are sold in single-lines (not left and right side by side lines) - that's a good thing. These cables doesn't send any distorted sound. They look good; with good construction.

The cable produce a tight mid-range and bass sound. The high treble is a little bit edge and constrained. I guess because of the treble limitation, the overall sound stage is not deep enough. For reference, I did A/B comparison to Chord Clearway RCA cable, which shows better sound clarity, opens up sound stage, and high treble has more smooth/airy extension (sweeter sound). This is a good value cable given its price. But for high quality signal source, this cable might limit the overall performance.

The build quality is top notch. I expect these cables to last as long or longer than any RCAs I’ve ever used. From the tips to the cable itself it’s rugged and attractive and offers the best protection available. My only complaint is that they are fairly stiff so I wasn’t able to use them connecting my Monolith Liquid Spark DAC and Amp together without lifting the one on top in the rear. But the sound quality was a noticeable improvement over the Monoprice cables I was using which quite frankly surprised me because those are excellent too(thick and well protected). In fact these Monolith cables are the best sounding RCAs I’ve ever experienced. Please note that with digital cables a lot of snake oil marketing exists, but with analog like these quality differences can be profound. Thick, oxygen free well protected cables make a difference. I’m really surprised, especially at my age(early 50s), that I’m hearing notable quality improvements with every Monolith analog cable I’ve tried.

Using this with a very solid audiophile headphone system including Project Pre Box Digital S2 into a Burson class A 2W headphone amp, driving my Audioquest Nighthawk Carbons. Compared to the stock Burson cables, or even the Audioquest Tower, the Monolith cables have a clearer and wider soundstage, beautiful treble extension without harshness, and tight controlled and extended bass. Vocals are clear and liquid. Super value. Don't hesitate!

Cables look good and fit tight. No physical or audible issues with them. They seem to play full range without harming the sound in any way. This is all you can ask for from a properly constructed audio cable. There is no break in time required with cables, and they don't need to be blessed by mystic monks. If you like to pay lots of money for voodoo and science fiction, shop elsewhere.

First off, most RCA cables (including on Monoprice) are sold in pairs but these are sold individually, which is confusing when ordering and also means there are no left-right markings on them at all. With a long cable, that makes hookup more complicated than it should be. The Monolith RCA cables are very well shielded , so I thought I would try them in the 12ft length, which is really longer than I prefer for an RCA cable but it suits certain applications in my home setup. Sure enough, when connected to a turntable they picked up quite a bit of noise and I could not use them for that application. But with a CD player, or any other non-turntable component, they were fine. So I would avoid this length with a turntable, unless it has a built-in phono stage. Other than that limitation, this cable does it's job accurately with no distortion and conveys the full range, tone, and timbre of the music.

First of all, I would like to say that I was encouraged to purchase these cables from Monoprice after reading the specs on them. After receiving them, I used them as interconnect cables to interface my Anthem AVM 60 pre/pro with a Monoprice Monolith 7 amplifier in a 7.2. setup. I use an Outlaw 500 amplifier to power my four in-ceiling Atmos speakers. I don't have any regrets, only songs of praise. These cable allow me to experience my music and movie audio tracks with clarity. I could not detect any audible static, hum, buzzing or any sound caused by electrical noises or interference. They delivered a high level of performance as expected, based on their specifications. I am impressed by their construction and the amount of engineering that went into them creating them. They help to bring my audio experiences alive. These cables are well constructed and snugly attach to the RCA jacks. These cables are highly recommended to anyone looking for high quality and premium RCA audio cables at reasonable prices. Well done Monoprice.
If you have a good pair of speakers and appreciate minor improvements in frequency reproduction and sound Staging these are the perfect cables.
