Description

SlimRun AV is the next generation in active optical cable systems. Works

Confirming that the 30' version of this cable DOES drive my 24" 4K LG monitor from my 2019 Mac mini, using the Thunderbolt 3 jacks at both ends. This DOES include sending audio to the monitor's speakers as well, which the Monoprice rep incorrectly stated it could not. This is an active, directional USB-C cable, with source and display ends clearly labeled. Since my only alternative was Areca's $600 optical Thunderbolt 3 cable, needless to say I'm happy. My only knock is against Monoprice for not knowing what their product does.

Not working!

Unfortunately, this product does not work. I plugged it into Docking Station and nothing happened. I lost a lot of time and money without interest. They said that it works with USB 3.1 Type-C but they did not mention in the description that it does not work with data transmission. I bought it on Dec 18, 2019, and upon returning to the product page I found the seller answered the only one question that we're asked a month ago and he said in the end, it does not transfer the data and that on the date of Jan 14, 2020. I am really disappointed and upset.
