Low enough profile to leave room underneath a 8' porch roof, and deep enough bell to keep lighting downward. Appropriate for "dark skies" enthusiast. Downside: The machine screws for mounting were too long and had to be trimmed by 1/4 inch.

we had to replace two lights in the carport and these were a great value for the money. they look great and were easy to install. no glass means no breakage, and easy to clean periodically. LED bulbs means years of service. A+

What a statement! But not that bright.
I love the look of this light! I (mom to 5 littles) installed myself in 10 minutes. I bought 3 of the celeing mount, and one wall mount. I got a great deal off of lamps plus open box. I picked it because of the roundness of the shade, rather than the straight cone type . The lights look and feel very high end. I put an amber filament light in each one, which give off a very soothing light at night. But, its not very bright, hence the 4 stars. I dont think its enough for a bedroom or a room with only one light. So I have a dilemma, if I will continue to put these throughout the house or not because of the brightness, but I love the look! I know I will purchase from lamps plus again though, shipping was incredibly fast!
