A: Hi - yes, this design is dimmable with the use of a wall switch dimmer. It uses a maximum 60 watt halogen bulb, which offers more light that a regular incandescent. Hope that helps, thank you for the question.

Light bulb surprise
The light “bulb” isn’t quite what I expected but it will be nice and bright. I just hope it doesn’t burn out or need replacing because I’ve never seen this type of bulb before.

Hi there - this design comes with one 60 watt G9 base halogen bulb. Halogen bulbs typically have a longer life span than regular incandescent bulbs. However, should the bulb ever go out on you, G9 base bulbs are readily available, and you can get both halogen or LED versions. Hope that helps and we thank you for your comments!
