The directions said it would take two people to assemble--and it did. This stand is heavy! Simple to assemble but the directions didn't say anything about the nut attached to the bolt on the wheels. We assumed it was a spacer, otherwise the wheel (and brake) would be too close to the bottom of the base. Withstood 20 mph winds (with umbrella closed, of course). Easy to move too.
