I'd Recommend
I read Pretty Little Wife based on a recommendation. Overall, I thought the 400 page book was good and read it in 5 days. Lila Ridgefield's husband Aaron goes missing but the one person who should care about it isn't. This leads people to look at her under a microscope but not all is as it seems. I found the book interesting but did find the ending to be a bit predictable. I'd still recommend this book!

Loved this book
From the very first page I was hooked. Darby Kane’s debut domestic thriller gave me the complex characters, compelling backstories and more than one twist that I did not see coming. This was the best book I have read in a long time. I will definitely be on the lookout for what Darby Kane does next.

Chilling Domestic Thriller
What do you do when you are married to a man who is beloved in the community, but knowing he, or someone, is slowly gaslighting you and driving you to the edge of sanity? No one will believe you, so there is only one way to save yourself... Hold onto your hat once you open this book. The ride is fast and dark with twists and turns you can't see coming. I read this in one sitting and until the very end, although the murderer is revealed in the first chapter, I had no idea where the body was, who moved it, or even if there was a body! Fast paced, well thought out, with clues so subtle I didn't recognize them as clues! My goodness, I really want more by this author!

twisty mystery
A debut thriller from a romance writer. Not a bad start to a new genre. Lila is no longer content in her marriage. Her husband is controlling and now he is missing. It isn’t like Aaron to skip work without notifying anyone. Ginny, the detective assigned to the missing person’s case, is trying hard to find out what happened. The book pays a little homage to Gone Girl, and while I didn’t really like any of the characters, I didn’t despise them. As the facts slowly unwound, I was surprised more than once and I’m the one who usually figures out the mystery. A solid twisty mystery that I’d highly recommend.
