This chandelier is very eye catching. The outer edges are more matte with flecks of gold, but the sides are very chrome with some charcoal type designs. The look was a little too chrome for us but very modern if that's what you like. Lamps Plus was great to work with on the return with a small shipping fee and we were able to find something else we liked,
