It features an EPS foam inner liner with a durable outer shell that comes with extended rear coverage for extra protection. Bought 2 for Twin Grandsons

This runs extremely small. I couldn't even clip it on my 3 year old and he doesn't have a big head. Would be more appropriate for ages 1-2. The inside is just the bare foam with some padding glued on. It pulled some of my kiddos hairs out each time he put it on.
