Q: How can you improve connectivity? This seems to interfere with my Christmas tree which is on another smart plug. This tree never connects and the only way to turn it on is the app, which doesn’t seem to connect well

I really wanted to like this item, but it was awful from the beginning. Aside from being extremely easy to set up, everything else about it is terrible. When set on a timed outlet, it does not come back on at its previous setting. That’s where the app comes in, right? The app FREQUENTLY loses connectivity with the device, for no reason, and the tree starts flashing a random pattern until you can connect again. On top of all that, I only had it up for 3 days, and the top two thirds of the tree lights stopped working altogether (photo shows only bottom third lighting up). Please don’t buy this tree! I’ll be returning it to Target within the week.

Sturdy tree. Looks great at night. The low rating is due to the functionality of the required use of the app. You must always use the phone connection to turn off and on. If you have it connected to a regular plug timer every time your outlet turns off you have to reconnect with the phone which is a pain because we have it down the hill away from the house so we have to go outside and do it. A regular power source would have been better to incorporate into the rest of the Christmas decor.
