Moong Split (Split Moong Beans with Skin) is made from whole moong beans that have been hulled and split, resulting in a delicate lentil-like legume that is quick to cook, easy to digest and highly nutritious. A great addition to all types of diets, such as vegan or vegetarian diets. In Fact, Moong is so protein packed it's a main ingredient in meat substitutes such as vegan eggs. Enjoyed the world over from China, Middle East & Asia. Its Indian favorite throughout the centuries, used in soups, salads and curries.

Split green gram is cooked as any other dal is cooked.
Used to make soups, Indian curries, khichdi, stews, and can be a delightful addition to any meal.
It can be pressure-cooked along with chopped onions, tomatoes, chillies and ginger-garlic paste, and then tempered with jeera in ghee.
Use moong dal to make sweets like halwa and sheera, mixed with jaggery and sugar, which is eaten during lots of festivals and occasions.
