Drybar Detox Thickening Shampoo for Thickening Hair - 3.8 fl oz - Ulta Beauty

I bought this on a whim during one of the Ulta beauty sales and I'll say I am a living proof dry shampoo girl, but this surprised me in the best way possible. I'm really happy with this purchase and I've also gotten one for my mom and who also enjoys using this as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first dry shampoo that makes my thin, fine hair look good! I used to have to wash my hair daily. This allows me to go two days between washes. I highly recommend it if your hair is thinning and fine.

This smells disgusting throughout the day not just at first spray. I cant even determine if it really does thicken hair overtime because the smell makes me not want to use it ever again. Does not add volume either. Better dry shampoos out there.

I have fine, oily hair and love so many other drybar thickening products, but this smells terrible and did nothing for my hair. Even when I tried using it just for a little evening refresh when I had washed my hair that morning, it looked flatter instead and then just smelled bad.

Didnt do anything except made my hair limp. I've had better experience with batiste (dark hair) and k18 (airwash) or even dae (dairy duster)

Does a good job at giving volume but leaves a white cast on my scalp.

I use this product when I need a little lift in my roots and to take some grease out. This one definitely dries faster than some of the other brands. And I like that this one doesn't have a strong smell.

It worked alright, but smelled awful. Like tropical cat litter

It does make my hair look thicker but it smells so horrible

I have thin hair. Also thinning in the scalp area. This helps with the volume and hide the areas I need hiding. Trick is after my hair is dry after the shower I spray that in the root area but not to close and use a hot brush. My hair stays oil free for 3 days or more.

EW!! It smells disgusting - and the smell is SO STRONG. It also leaves white residue, and it doesn't really even work! What even is in this can? Way overpriced and completely gross. Skip this one!!

Would not recommend. The cap broke after the first use. Completely wasted a whole new can.

I'd give this an A - or an 8.5 out of 10. I'm not very educated in Dry Shampoos so my experience is limited but out of the handful I've tried so far, this is my favorite. I already use a thicking shampoo and conditioner so I don't know if this helps but sometimes I feel like it does raise my roots a bit. After I dry my hair I immediately use this, going around my head, separating sections, and spraying inbetween each one. Sometimes my roots will look fuller afterwards so it must work a little. Another thing I love is it doesn't make my scalp itch. Other dry shampoos I've tried have ALL made my scalp itch on day TWO so they're useless to me but this hasn't done that at all. So overall, I'd give it a try. And its smell is nice and not too much.

I really like drybar sry shampoo however the smell of this particar one compared to the original is awful. I know the original and the thickening one say they sre both original scent, but I can assure you they are not. I agree with the other comments that there is not a lot of product and not cheap either. However, I do have fine oily hair and this is the first dry shampoo that I have found to work. But will be going back to the original teal can as it smells so much better!

Just not the best product for me- leaves a heavy residue that feels like it weighs my hair down which ultimately makes me feel greasier even thought it's dry shampoo. I have fine, long, medium thick hair for reference.
