Switched from Garmin and didn't look back
I don’t normally write reviews but I’m hoping this helps everyone that’s in the same predicament I was in. I was not paid for this review. I switched to the Amazfit ecosystem from Garmin about a month ago. I’m not a runner (degenerative disc) but I am very active. Walking, light gym training, swimming, kayaking, mild hiking, etc. I also wear mechanical and fashion watches. I used to wear a low end (the smallest) Garmin watch on my right wrist while wearing a regular watch on my right. I’d then switch to a more robust Garmin watch for workouts. By wearing the low end watch most days I would miss out on most of the training metrics which were only really useful for runners and cyclists anyways. Enter the Amazfit Helio Strap. Instead of a bulky “second watch” I get an unassuming wrist band that doesn’t catch the eye or cause any bulk under a long sleeve shirt. The battery lasts over a week, and it seamlessly tracks my daily activity and counts it towards my training metrics in a very intuitive way. The app is easy to use (I tried the Polar Loop, the app was awful) and allows me to seamlessly integrate with my Amazfit Balance 2. For $99 and no subscription fee it’s been great. As a matter of fact I was able to buy the Balance 2 as well for less than the price of a Garmin watch and barely more than a year of Whoops top tier subscription. Can’t recommend it enough.

Excellent product. I wanted my workouts tracked with accuracy in a simplistic layout. I wanted my sleep tracked to identify consistency and wake time. I wanted no annual fee and to own what I was wearing. I track and journal on my own and can reflect back on the day for my habits where the whoop would normally track in the app. I’m ok journaling manually and find it more joyful in my personal reflections with pen and paper. This is a great product, very happy with the battery life, the workout accuracy and overall metrics tracked.

So far, a home run for Christmas
I purchased 4 bands, one for each person in my family. I have been wearing mine since it arrived (>2 weeks). Everyone was very happy with the gift, and super excited to start using it to track workout data. Highlights: Charging last 10+ days. Very happy with the long charge and the quick time to recharge, I can usually get a full charge while I am getting ready for work. Detection: Very accurate with cardio workout detection. Not as accurate with weight workouts. Food tracking: Pictures are convenient and favorites make it easy to set up your routine meals. Wish list: add a simple (water++) button to the interface to make tracking water intake easier. Bands: The velcro, works well, but we have two smaller wrists in our family, so we may have to look for a smaller band for them. Overall, highly recommended for young adults getting started on tracking fitness and parents who take tracking their numbers and progress as a priority. So far, happy with my purchases, will update again based on performance! Thanks for a good product and a Christmas gift home run!

A powerful addition to your fitness journey
I was hesitant to order the Helio Strap, but any doubts vanished when I started using it. First, the addition of the BioCharge functionality provides better feedback on the recovery and exertion balance. The fact the strap can connect to the Amazfit Active 2 to provide more accurate readings during CrossFit, HIIT and similar activities is a game changer. And using it to complement the readings from the Helio Ring on sleep analysis provides a more rounded picture of your fitness journey.

Nice Band, some software updates needed
I've had to return due to skin issues from the skin side material. Actual use was not bad. Sleep tracking as a lot to be desired. It was hard to trust it, especially since my awake time was way off. I could be awake for an hour or so, tossing and turning and the app showed I was awake for 1 minute. Exercise wise, it seemed to do well. If you are not looking for sleep tracking, then I would definitely recommend. If you are buying for the sleep tracking, I would try something different.

Great tracker, very comparable to the big names
I love it. All the data i ever wanted, even more than my fitbit versa amazingly. My only REAL complaint is, its just not very comfortable. I wear it all day and at night for sleep tracking. The plastic on the bottom of the tracker and the band just isnt comfortable

I'm extremely happy with this Strap
It exceeded my expectations, especially the app. I own Apple Watch Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, don't use any of those anymore for health tracking just Helio Strap on my bicep. Speaking about the app, thank you for proper Hearth Rate Zone calculation and ability to tweak manually (unlike the samsung for example), thanks for PAI and I really enjoy AI food recognition, despite thinking that I will not use that stuff initially.
