Prolux CTX Water Filtration Canister Vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the CTX Water vac about a week ago. Being familiar with water filtration vacs, I researched and found the Prolux brand. The CTX is lighter and easier for me to use. I really like the brush floor tool for my hardwood floors and tile. It has a host of attachments for all my cleaning needs. The vac is easy to glide. The long suction hose, in addition to the long electrical cord makes it convenient as well. It is always refreshing to know the dust and dirt is contained by water and easy to toss outside. The water filtration really helps my allergy issues.

This one from Prolux did not disappoint. Our house feels cleaner and we now are addicted to keeping it that way. Easy to use and dump the water (we dump it outside). Gets rid of an insane amount of dander without kicking it up in the air. Really great suction!

The suction is good and it is easy to throw away the water after cleaning. The shampoo attachment is good to clean carpets with minimal soil/ dirt. Overall it is a good product except it is noisier when compared to other similar vacuums. I am hoping it lasts many years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchased after having new carpet throughout the house 6 weeks ago. I have vacuumed numerous times pre and post holidays with my other vacuum. We do not wear outdoor shoes on the carpet and no food in the carpeted rooms. I could not believe how much dirt the CTX picked up! Love the idea of water filtration so there is no dry dirt to dump or pump back into the air. It's a great system.

This is an excellent vacuum. We have both hardwood floors and carpet, and it cleans them both very well. The power head on the carpeting is easy to manipulate around the room. Another primary reason we purchased this was to use it as an air purifier. It was really fun to see the dust flying around in the morning sun through our window and then start to float toward the Prolux when we turn it on. We run it daily - upstairs during the day - first moving it bedroom to bedroom then generically in the hallway and first floor while we all sleep. Using this device in these two ways has significantly helped with allergens in our home. We have seen vast improvements in our loved ones! Would absolutely recommend anyone give it a try.

I have two dogs and a baby coming and I was worried for all the dogs hair at home, this vacuum cleans excellent! It works great on the floor, carpets and also the sofas!!! I am super happy with my product. Thank you, I love how everything looks after using my vacuum and I’m happy that I found a great vacuum to clean the house when my baby will arrive. I’ve purchased numerous name brand vacuums over the years and they just didn’t last or pick up debris very well. I was looking for another vacuum and come across the CTX vacuum which is water filtered. It caught my interest because it just made sense. Every time I’d dump the canister from the old vacuums dust would escape. I have allergies which would flare up and make me miserable. The suction is unbelievable. It picks up dirt I never knew was still in the carpet. Also is phenomenal on hard floors. I’ve had ZERO problems with the CTX vacuum. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing ASAP!!!! (Please don’t judge the pictures to harshly…you’d be surprised with what your carpet holds deep down)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this vacuum a few weeks ago and have been using it almost on a daily basis. It works great, the first time using it we definitely were surprised at how much dirt it collected. It was gross. Since then it's been really satisfying to use, cleans really well and you can tell its getting dirt from really deep in the carpet. we use it on our tile floor also and it has almost completely replaced our broom it works so well. the scents it came with I felt were ok, I am excited to try some of the other fragrances. but overall it makes our house smell and feel much cleaner and more fresh. only downside I can think of is that it is a little on the noisier side, but worth the noise in my opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Water vacuums for the last 40 years. I recently purchased the Prolux and continue to be amazed at the dirt in the water. I like the fact that I have a small beater bar attachment for the staircase. The hoses are light weight which is good for older users. I vacuum almost everything from window sills, baseboards, furniture and floors because I like to remove dust not just move it around. I have dust allergies so this is important to me. I constantly tell my friends how much I like the water vac.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Prolux CTX vacuum cleaner with the Prolux Storm shampooer kit. After the sticker shock of looking into another popular water filtration vacuum, I was relieved to see that all the features I was looking for was available for a fraction of the cost with the Prolux. Once the vacuum arrived I went straight to work on my area rugs and carpets. I noticed right away how powerful the suction was, and really enjoyed the option to add scented drops to the water in the tank. It’s a small thing but it really does make the chore more enjoyable! I purchased a 4-pack (“Genuine Luxury Fragrance Pack”—such dreamy scents, my favorite is mandarin rosewood) of the expensive brand’s scented drops off of Amazon because I didn’t receive the scented drops with my machine for some reason. Besides normal vacuuming, here are some other features I have used and my thoughts on each: -The shampooer. Overall, super effective on my light colored rug. I noticed that I had to keep the water tank pretty full (approx. 1/3 full or more) in order to get the machine to lay down enough water to do the job. A slight learning curve but straightforward once you get the hang of it! -The motorized mini head tool. I used this on my stairs. The tool seemed to work well, I just wish there was a way to extend the hose so that it would reach all the way up the staircase. I had to stop about 2/3 of the way through cleaning to drag the unit upstairs, and ended up taking a risk by having one of my kids hold the unit at the top of the staircase so I didn’t accidentally pull it down, hurting myself and likely breaking the machine. For that reason I’ll probably continue cleaning the stairs with my cordless vacuum even though the Prolux does a better job. -Dusting with the horse hair duster brush. I will be doing this far more often. The bristles are so soft I didn’t worry about damaging any surfaces. It sucks up the dust without sending any airborne, which feels like it will help the job last a little longer. I was also able to easily dust my somewhat fragile woven sea grass and wood headboard that has lots of crevices for dust to settle in. I might just be able to get the upper hand in the constant battle against dust in our busy household with this fabulous machine! Oh yeah, and I can’t forget to re-mention that scented water feature, which definitely helped the dusting chore be more pleasant. -The wet vacuum feature. I decided to clean the window tracks in my frequently used sliding glass doors, and in a moment of genius, I pulled out my Prolux to see if I could suck up the muddy gunk from spraying & scrubbing the tracks. I used the wet tool hose with the crevice tool. I cannot overemphasize how much time I saved doing that one simple thing! I never thought the wet vac feature would be something I used often, but I can see myself trying to find new ways to put this workhorse machine to use. -The air purification setting. This is loud, not something I could work or sleep with in the background. However, I left it running in my master bedroom while the kids & I were downstairs, and besides smelling amazingly fresh from the scented drops when I re-entered the room, it was nice to know the air was cleaner and that there was less airborne dust to settle on my dark furniture. I will be using this feature regularly, rotating the machine to various rooms depending on which happen to be unoccupied at the time. One thing I suggest is purchasing a silicone colander to pour the dirty water into. I got one with handles that can extend to lay across the sides of the sink, which is useful. We have a septic system so I have to be extra careful what goes down our drains, but even with city sewage I wouldn’t want to let the fuzzy sludge go down the pipes regularly. Because the vacuum is so powerful you will be amazed at how much gunk is in each dirty tank! The Prolux has already proven to be a great value and I look forward to many more years of finding creative uses for it while dreading the mundane chores far less due to the ease of use and “aromatherapy” while cleaning. I will happily recommend this product to my friends & family who are in the market for a quality vacuum system!

The product is very affordable and performs better than it’s comparable. The benefits of water based vacuuming are unparalleled. Truly worth the investment.
