A: Erythritol is used in this bar as a sweetener. We understand that this ingredient has recently been in the media linked to health concerns but the FDA still recognizes this ingredient as GRAS (generally recognized as safe). If this ingredient is a concern, we are happy to report that erythritol is only used in two Pure Protein bar flavors, so we encourage you to try our other flavors that do not contain this ingredient.

Picked up two boxes of these protein bars I ordered online. Discovered BOTH boxes were opened & several were missing from each box! Returned them, but that voided the $10 credit I had earned. Gave one star because the bars themselves are good when I have had them in the past.

They're either Fabulous or Stale Poop!
I buy at least 12 boxes of these a month. They are the only protein bars I like and I’ve lost 55 lbs. However, i have to return so many boxes of them because they are stale! ROCK HARD STALE! When they’re soft they are amazing, but when they’re hard I can’t even chew them. Most of the time the stale ones aren’t even expired. Also what’s the deal with the janky boxes?. You fill them half way, then use the cheapest cardboard, then use glue that doesn’t work, so of course the sides crush in & the walls cave in! I ordered 7 boxes a couple weeks ago and ALL of the boxes were caved in. It’s the same way in the store. You can’t successfully sell a product when your boxes are made of paper and filled only halfway. Something’s gotta change, because as soon as I find a bar I like elsewhere, my money disappears from your pockets. Also u gets 3 stars because when they’re fresh they deserve 5 stars, but when they’re stale 0 stars.

Quality choice of product SUCKS!
I am not pleased at all with my package that I ordered from Target. I ordered 3-12 packs of Pure Protein, Lemon Cakes. They arrived in a beaten up box today. And the contents inside the delivery box are in worse shape than the external box they arrived in. Not only are the package boxes banged, dented, (2 boxes) have already been opened and resealed with tape, but the expiration date is just a few months away. I am not happy with this at all! It is obvious someone just wanted to clear the shelves of damaged old product, that’s going to expire soon. Just because I order online does not mean I want your damaged, out-dating garbage… Because of this experience, I do NOT recommend purchasing grocery items from Target.

I think the texture/flavor of these bars are some of the best I've had from a protein bar, almost none of that bad protein taste or chalky texture.
