Heavy and hard to maneuver

Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend
Mom - 27 days ago
Hard to maneuver, and bulky. I did like that the seat is adjustable, but other more lightweight bikes are better. This one falls over and makes toddler cry because its hard to pick back up because it's so heavy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for my honest review. My child loves this bike! I like the size of it because it’s lightweight and easy to throw in the car. It is the perfect balance between a regular tricycle and a toddler sit and ride toy. I also like that it is helping him learn to balance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product to give my honest feedback. It was super easy to put together and very sturdy. I like that the seat is adjustable so it will last for a couple of years. My baby is on the smaller side and even on the lowest setting she could barely touch the ground. It's very cute and quiet enough to be ridden around the house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were given this bike to write an honest review. When we first gave my 1 year old daughter this balance bike she wanted to knock it over and sit on the wheels (she loves the wheels!). Over the next few days she quickly and easily learned how to stand it up, get on and off of it, and "bike" around. The size is perfect for my 1 year old. She is able play by herself or with some help and has really enjoyed figuring out a new toy. Her favorite part is using it while watching her big sister and Dad bike around.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Radio Flyer provided me with a free sample to test and try out. The Radio Flyer Steady Start Balance Bike is an affordable, durable, and user-friendly balance bike suitable for its quality and value. While it may not have all the features of higher-end models, it offers a good value for children who are starting to want to ride a bike. I think that it should have additional features like a footrest. I like that it’s light enough to for children to able to maneuver around and also light enough to be able to carry if I had to do so.

Great beginner - not for one year old

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Radio Flyer provided me with a free sample to test and try out. Overall, this item is a great beginner bike for kids but it is I would not recommend for kids under 2 years old. The wheels in the back are narrow and there is only one wheel in the front which makes it challenging for a one year old to keep it upright when sitting on it. It does sit upright stationary. The handles are very comfortable and my son seems to love the texture!

Fun way to learn to ride a bike!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Radio Flyer provided me with this balance bike for free to try and give my honest opinion. This balance bike has been a hit with our 13-month-old son. It was pretty easy to put together. I think it took a max of 10 minutes to put the whole bike together. The bike itself is a little heavy in my opinion. My son likes to push it and sometimes it falls over and he has a hard time picking it back up. I don’t think that’s a huge deal because as he gets older it’ll get easier for him. Learning to ride the bike was really easy and my son picked up on what to do right away. He loves riding it around the house and up and down the driveway. This is going to be a great transition bike for him since the seat adjusts to a few different heights. The more he uses it the more confident he gets. . We love Radio Flyer, and their products are always made with the best material. This bike is no exception, it is top quality, and we hope to have it for a long time.

All Around Win

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Radio Flyer provided our family with a free sample of this toy to test and try out. I have a 26 month old and this bike is easily a new favorite in our house. The wheels are wide enough that stability is created to encourage the rider’s confidence while the curved wheel walls do allow enough of a wobble when they are turning to require balance. The width of the back wheel is ideal for a child’s desire to exit off the back, it is easy for them to get their legs around while comfortably holding on to the bike. We previously had another balance bike that would trip them up in the back wheels every time they tried to get off. The style of the Radio Flyer balance bike encourages independence all around. The seat is squishy but with a heavy material cover it seems like it will hold up well. The wheels themselves have a slight give In them, like a hard rubber, which is nice for indoor riding. It also provides and smooth ride on uneven-ground outside, we have a brick driveway and the rider was still able to maintain control and have fun. The solid white wheels do get noticeably dirty when used outside, as would be expected, but they clean off easily with water. As for the assembly of the bike, it required a couple standard tools for one step. The instructions were clear and over all very easy to put together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Radio Flyer provided me with a free sample to test and try out. I have a 12 month old who just started walking but still working on her balance so I believe this bike is a great fit for her to work on just that! The assembly was quick and easy. We love the adjustable seat so she can continue to use it as she grows and the large, knobby handles that are easy to grab and hold onto. I will say the only negative I have observed about this product is the lowest seat adjustment still seems a touch too tall for my daughter who is average height for her age so she can’t exactly use it as intended by herself quite yet! But another few months and it should fit her perfectly!

Must have for busy toddlers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Radio Flyer sent me the Steady Start Balance Bike in exchange for my honest review. The bike is absolutely adorable and was an easy install from the box (about 10 mins). I have a one year old and a three year old, so having one balance bike that both children could use was a huge plus for me! You can easily adjust the seat height on the side so it makes changing it per child a breeze for play. I was a little skeptical that my three year old son would be too big since he’s both on the 90th percentiles for height and weight, but was pleasantly surprised that he could use it just fine on the highest seat setting. The size of the bike is great for being able to take on the go and fits under our stroller basket to take to the park. It’s lightweight, low to the ground which has been easy my kids to pick up and start riding without me being worried they will get seriously injured. You can tell the bike is made of quality materials and not cheap plastic that will last for a long time. I also love how the bike can be used both indoors and outdoors and does not scratch my wood floors. For hot/rainy days this summer it’s a nice option for play around the house to get toddler energy out! My only complaint is that the wheels attract dog hair from inside the house that stick to the tires requiring you to wipe it off regularly. Overall, my toddlers have enjoyed playing with this bike and believe it will help them practice balance and transition to big kid bikes easier in the future!

Easy to assembly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 15 month old loves to sit on the balance bike. She has yet to walk or move while on it, but she is enjoying it! This bike was easy enough to assembly by our 6 year old too! We are looking forward to our evening walks and hike rides once she figures out it can go. The wheels are nice and wide too, it will stand upright on its own.
