This is where Othello came in. I thought I’d have to fight them to play, but they’re excited to challenge each other (and me) to games. We’ve been playing nightly and keeping a win tally. It’s been such a fun tradition we’ve built and I love seeing their minds work and become more strategic. It’s such an easy game to learn, yet a great way to stretch your strategic muscle.

It took a little bit to understand the concept but once we got it, it was a good time. The quality of the board is pretty nice too and I like that it has storage space for the chips

The box is study, the pieces are nice, all included individually. Simple rules but need to learn the strategy to win. My kids have been playing it constantly and love it.

The game is super easy to learn, but wow, it gets intense fast! The quality is great, the flipping pieces are oddly satisfying, and it’s the perfect mix of strategy and chaos. 10/10 fun, competitive, and slightly dangerous for sore losers. The game also has great storage to make for an easy clean up afterwords. This is the perfect board game to bring with you on a trip or for a cute date idea. I would definitely recommend!

The box itself is solid and compact so it makes it easy to put everything back without wrestling with it. The components feel well made, the board is solid and the discs feel nice and heavy, not cheap plastic. My friend and I learned the rules in roughly a minute, thinking it was just a simple little game. In fact, I was winning nearly the entire first game until a single move flipped an entire row and he took the lead. That's when we realized the tagline of the game, that it takes a minute to learn and a lifetime to master, was no exaggeration. It has since worked its way into our regular rotation, partially attribute to its versatility. It’s simple enough for kids to learn yet the strategy is deep enough to occupy adults. The box is also portable so it’s easy to toss in a bag and take to a friends house. It’s exceptional value in terms of money spent. I would recommend this for friendship building.

Our family is constantly doing game nights in this game fits in perfectly for those tournament style nights that we like to do especially on New Year’s Eve when that is how we pass the time before midnight as a family to celebrate the new year. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This two-player strategic game is chess on steroids! It’s listed for ages 8+, though I think younger ages can play & grasp the basic concepts. It’s both simple/fun and challenging all at once! The discs can flip colors in the blink of an eye. And it can be horizontally, vertically, and diagonally all at once! I’m incapable of thinking that many moves ahead. I found it helpful to keep a finger on the disc that I just placed, to help me keep track of which discs I need to flip. The discs have concave divots on each side for easy grasp and handling. The playing board is made of green felt with ridges for individual chips to fit snugly, so that the discs do not slide around during game play. The discs can be stored in drawers within the game board, that’s a plus as well.
