About the Book
"People do not trust Christianity anymore. But rather than trying to make the church look better, respected author and pastor Dr. Eric Mason calls followers of Jesus to be better"--Book Synopsis
People do not trust Christianity anymore. But rather than trying to make the church look better, respected author and pastor Dr. Eric Mason calls followers of Jesus to be better. "Dr. Eric Mason has never been afraid to tell the truth, even when it hurts. In Rebranding the Church, he doesn't just diagnose the problem; he calls us back to something deeper, older, and more powerful."--Lecrae, artist, author, and founder of Reach Records Scandals. Hypocrisy. Shallow sermons. Do you see the brokenness within the church and wonder if she can ever authentically represent Jesus to the world? Dr. Eric Mason doesn't just call the church out. He calls believers up, equipping readers with actionable steps toward personal accountability and a renewed commitment to Christ's mission.Rebranding the Church is a training manual for Christians to lovingly and truthfully share Christ with people who no longer respect the Christian faith. It's a guide to addressing some of the biggest reputation issues Christians face and a ground-level picture of what following Jesus actually looks like. Dr. Mason insists that we can welcome back people who have been hurt by the church. We can reverse the negativity that has taken root and continues to spread. It all starts now. And it starts with you.
Review Quotes
"If you're tired of seeing the church be known more for scandals than service, this book will shake you, ground you, and send you. It's biblical. It's bold. And it's exactly what we need right now."--Lecrae, artist, author, and founder of Reach Records "Dr. Mason has given us the book we had all been desperately waiting for to call us to become a better expression of the church in this current season."--Bryan Carter, senior pastor of Concord Church, Dallas "A brand is the public perception of who you are and who you purport yourself to be. In Rebranding the Church, Dr. Eric Mason effectively unveils the need, challenges, and methods to reboot the church's brand so that it relevantly and accurately reflects what it was divinely created to be. This book will help and inspire the church to go to the next level in the spiritual development of its members and maximize its impact in the world."--Dr. Tony Evans, president of The Urban Alternative and founder of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship "Dr. Eric Mason continues trailblazing for the church. With his trademark combination of theological acumen, street savvy, and pastoral experience, his new book charts a fresh path forward for faithful ministry in the twenty-first century."--Dr. Steve Bezner, associate professor of pastoral ministry at George W. Truett Theological Seminary and author of Your Jesus Is Too American "Rebranding the Church is a clarion call for all Christians to embrace their identity as 'brand ambassadors' for Christ. Dr. Mason boldly reaffirms our mission as disciples and commitment to orthodoxy. This book is written out of a deep love for God's church, equipping believers with the tools needed to return to a mission that reflects the heart of Christ."--Jennifer Lucy Tyler, author of When Dreams Fall Apart: How Unanswered Prayers Can Deepen Your Intimacy with God
"The church has a well-earned branding problem. Like a soul food restaurant that only sells kale salads, too many people find themselves coming to church for one thing, only to leave disappointed when they experience the opposite--tragic things. My friend Dr. Eric Mason not only helps center the church in the good news of the Bible but also does it in a way that when you finish this book, you will find yourself full of hope."--Dr. Bryan Loritts, author of Grace to Overcome "Rebranding the Church captures the essence of what most Americans think about church and why and how the church can get back to its original ʻbrandingʼ of gospel centrality, discipleship, service, and generosity. This book is essential reading for ministry leaders, their teams, and the body of Christ at large!"--Jerome Gay, Jr., pastor and author of Church Hurt: Holding the Church Accountable and Helping Hurt People Heal "In an age of echoes, Dr. Eric Mason is a voice of clarity and truth. I am a firsthand witness and beneficiary of his ministry and friendship. His ability to articulate the truths of Scripture is profound, yet his delivery is accessible across cultural contexts. His is a needed voice in our time as one who combats error, points to the truth of Scripture, and exalts Christ."--Pastor William McDowell, lead pastor at Deeper Fellowship Church
