Not Air Tight
This cold brew maker lid is not air tight, changing the overall flavor of the coffee. I own and love other kitchen aid products, but this misses the mark.

Why oh why is it leaking so bad? :(
I want to love it so much and I did for a couple of months of cold brew joy followed by coffee being spilled all over my fridge. Have just contacted support and hoping for a response because c'mon! This could be so perfect if it did not leak coffee all over my fridge.

Wanted to love.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love this since I love cold brew and KitchenAid….but I feel like it’s not really worth the price tag. You need almost an entire bag of coffee to brew and it doesn’t make a very large batch.

Leaks and plastic fittings cross thread
Started leaking on the second brew. By the fourth brew I could not get the mechanism for the dispenser off without using pliers due to it had started to cross thread because it is only made of plastic and is not designed to be removed frequently, despite needing to do this after every second brew. I ended up destroying the rubber tube (it would not pull off the bottom drain) because of having to use pliers to get the mechanism apart. Seems that there are no spare parts to purchase so this is a very expensive piece of garbage. So much for saving money on fancy cold coffee drinks.

Clogged mess
Fairly experienced with cold brew, I have 5 or 6 and this is, by far, the biggest let down. The spout is weak naturally but then it gets clogged with the finer grains that come through.

Leaked everywhere
I had been wanting this cold brew maker for a while. I was so excited to get one. When did my 1st cold brew it leaked and I was so upset when the bottom would not turn tight. The round piece on the bottom just kept turning and would never tighten. Also the cold brew maker looked and felt like a good kitchenaid product but the piece that leaked where made out of plastic.

Quality Built - One Big Issue
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The build quality of this is great. You can tell it is made by KitchenAid. The filter is works well and The maker is heavy for its size. But the main issue with this is that the spout is at the bottom, which means that any fine coffee particles that makes it through the filter will settle to the bottom and make it to the first few cups dispensed. This means all the coffee has to be course ground, with no fine particles in order to avoid the coffee sediment. You would have to use a burr grinder and then strain out fine particles - which would be a lot of work. If you make cold brew with a French press, the benefit is that you pour from the top - not the bottom, as you would with this maker.
