I am a professional pipefitter. On my side work l use the pipe wrenches l inherited from my dad who used them for his side work. My dad inherited the wrenches from my grandfather who used them too. Never have these wrenches ever failed. It just occurred to me these tools could be 100 years old. The still work perfectly. The company l work for buys new Ridgid pipe wrenches as the company grow and gets more work. There is no differance between the appearance and quality of the new wrenches when compared to the old ones. Granted, some of the old wrenches had new jaws replaced by my dad about 50 years ago, but that was an easy fix and unexpensive.

Hi, I’m working in oil field and we’re using Ridgid 36” pipe wrench to torque up the connections upto 3600 ft-lb by using Chain lever hoist (come along). Kindly let me know if it is okay to use come along/ Cheater pipe and if its not allowed kindly confirm the maximum torque can be applied to 36” straight Pipe wrench.
Awesome tool. Professional quality.

I just purchased the 60 inch model. It is very heavy duty and well built but the length of the handle to the lower jaw is 43 inches. The overall length, with the jaw fully extended is only 53 5/8 inches. Not even close to the 60 inches they advertise.

Bought a 8” pipe wrench quite a few years ago. I didn’t use it a lot and the lower jaw broke. I call customer support and was told it’s not warranty without all the pieces of the lower jaw. So much for lifetime warranty! Don’t waste your money

Can you kindly make the hook jaw available without the handle. As drilling company, the hook jaw goes bad after long use. The handle stays as is. So the only part needed is the jaw only.

I inherited a ridged pipe wrench from my uncle that had to be twenty or thirty years old… as far as I’m concerned it’s better than new. The thing is like a rock. Ive leveraged a 8 foot tube on it before probably a few tons of pressure and the thing isn’t even slightly crooked. Very robust

I bought my first set of Ridgid pipe wrenches in 1996 at the age of 15 and until recently used them everyday. I have now passed these down to a young family member who uses them extensively in their industrial mechanic job. I can’t speak for the longevity of other brands and don’t need to. Just go with these and you’ll have a good lifelong investment.

I bought my Rigid pipe wrench in 1973 as an apprentice. It still serves my needs and is the first wrench I reach for when I need a pipe wrench. How could I not give it a 5 star rating?

I have a 10inch heavy duty pipe wrench which I use every time I have to do gas line for my furnace install or boiler installs. It’s so easy to use and it doesn’t come loose unlike other brands out there.

I've been using Ridgid wrenches since 1969. I was always able to tighten or loosen the pipe or fitting because the jaw teeth stay sharp and the adjusting mechanism always moves freely.

Love my 48 inch HD pipe wrench, and all the rest of the ridgid pipe wrenches all the way down to my 10 inch aluminum. Dependable, had them for over 41 years. Used and abused, some handles bent from using too long of a cheater, but still as reliable as the day they were bought.
