Whether you're going for a stroll in the park or headed for the hills, this rugged and good-looking Chukka boot with moc-toe styling with keep you dry and comfortable. The Rocky 5 Outback boot features a premium, full grain leather upper with genuine breathable GORE-TEX waterproof construction to keep your feet dry and you comfortable while you spend time outdoors. For additional long-term comfort, this boot has a fully padded collar, and a (removable) extra thick PU Rocky Terra Suspension footbed with Air Flow design. The GORE-TEX compatible knit linings are breathable, soft and durable. Rocky boots featuring GORE-TEX are guaranteed to be durably waterproof and highly breathable. Why? GORE-TEX is made with a microporous membrane structure. Each pore is much smaller than a water molecule, but bigger than a water vapor molecule, which means no external moisture from rain, snow, sleet or puddles - can penetrate the membrane, but internal moisture from perspiration can easily evaporate. So you can easily see why these are great shoes to wear while you are outside, enjoying the glory of Mother Nature. We've got you covered with grip too. The Outback rubber outsole provides long-lasting traction and stability on rugged terrain. It is stitched on for flexibility and has been double stitched at toe and heel for durability.

    good enough

    I've had these 14 months now and they are serviceable. They've kept my feet dry in the wet weather here in the PNW, worked pretty well for early October hunting last year, and have still held up, even with the amount of miles I put on hikers. They aren't the most comfortable boot I've worn. Not a lot of support for my high arched feet, so I can't give them a perfect score. But they've lasted longer than any Keens I've had, which usually get tossed within a year. And they work pretty well on the trail for the money spent on them.

    Dude,,

    I ordered these ten years ago because the ole timberlands were giving me back trouble, y’all are just now looks for a review. Every few months I clean my rockys so I can wear them to a church function, they still look like New, even the scratches buff out.

    long lasting, super comfortable

    I've been wearing this boot to work as an electrician not for hunting and have been amazed at how comfortable and durable they have been. I will get about two years use out of a pair and i'd say that i'm probably on pair six or seven now and have a new pair still in the box just waiting to go into action.

    I bought these boots three or four years ago. They lasted so well and stayed waterproof. Even now that I bought another pair and bought a pair for my son for Christmas. We both work as Irrigation contractors. We are working in wet conditions. I go through boots bought other brands paid good money for them, but they wouldn’t last more than a year with a job that I do. These rocky boots are made of good Leather. I get them wet on a daily basis and over time the leather has become dry and cracks, but the stitches have held, and the Gore-Tex lining is still keeping my feet dry

    Can't wear these out!

    I have three pairs of these. One old pair for painting dirty work etc, five (approx) year old pair for every day, and the newest pair for out on the town. Most comfortable shoes/boots I have ever owned so I stick with them. The only suggestion for improvement I would make is that the Logo on the bottom should be in reverse so the logo is right reading in the snow or mud footprints!

    Rocky Boots are sturdy and comfortable.

    Sturdy and comfortable. Bought these for our son who does traffic utility work. He is on his feet probably 6-8 hrs day. Rocky boots hold up well and stay comfortable. Pleased with these boots. In addition, my husband wears Rocky boots as well and has for many years.

    LOVE/HATE

    Love the boots! Just hate that for me, I wear them out so fast. I have to stretch their life to make it a year. I actually started buying 2 pairs at a time, so I wouldn't have to buy them every year. I've had stitching pop, soles come unbound, holes worn in the top of the toes... Just all kinds of issues. But theyre so comfortable when they do last, that I still buy them again. Probably will buy another pair in a month or so 🤣 worst part is that this is my first review and these are the ones that have held up the best so I can't even show the usual situation haha. Well, hope this helps 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Decent boot for the price.

    I bought these boots ten years ago, but didn't start wearing them for the first five years because my Ecco Track boots refused to die. Anyhow, they finally did and I have been wearing the Rocky Outback, almost exclusively, for the past five years. While the boot is comfortable out of the box, they're not the greatest quality. After about a month or so, the outer hooks on both boots tore from the rest of the boot. Not a big deal, but bothersome nonetheless. That said, they have remained waterproof and the laces are still hanging in there, on the left boot. They boot is not made for cold winters, but stood up well, though the rubber sole gets rock-solid below 25 degrees and can make it treacherous to come from outside and walk upon a solid floor. All-in-all, a pretty good boot for the price.

    Great all around functional footwear.

    I have a pair that are probably 10+ years old. There is no break-in period, they are comfortable as soon as you put them one. I find great stability in them. Trust them in walking on icy parking lots. Great for hiking. Our office is business casual and they go in-noticed as hiking boots. They look look like casual shoes under pants legs. Totally waterproof, feet have never been wet going through puddles. Superior construction, they show no wear after all the years I’ve owned them.

    Awesome Boots

    I bought these boots for work because I’m often waking in water and snow. It took around 10 miles of walking to fully break them in, but once broken in they are Great. Now I have around 150 miles in them and still no issues at all. Waterproof, comfortable and stylish. Cleaning is a simple wipe down with a wet rag. Concrete is the primary surface I’m walking on and no issues with my feet hurting or back pain. Great boots and will definitely buy them again. I wish they came in an insulated option, if so, these would be good option for late season deer hunting.

    Extremely Comfortable

    I have had these boots for over a year now and they are the absolute most comfortable boots I have ever worn. They have great support for my ankles and are very soft on the feet. I highly recommend them.

    Great boots for orthotic insoles

    I haven’t had these a long time but so far so good. My feet are in really bad shape and these are good for my orthotic insoles and have a wide-ish toe box. They’re waterproof and comfy. Thanks for the military discount!

    Quality boot

    I purchased this boot a month ago and I am very pleased with the construction and quality of the boot. The boot is light weight and comfortable. One of the reasons I chose this boot is because of the Gore-Tex waterproof liner.

    Disappointed

    They're well made boots and very comfortable, but they don't breathe at all . They make my feet damp and cold. Or just uncomfortable. I had to buy them because Rocky changed their Branson roper boots and I can't even get my foot halfway down in them. Sure wish they hadn't done that.
