Año 1560. Alejandro Farnesio, príncipe de Parma, marcha a estudiar a la universidad de Alcalá de Henares, donde coincide con el príncipe Carlos, heredero a la corona de España, y don Juan de Austria, reconocido como hermano por Felipe II.

Es una mala época para España, amenazada por musulmanes rebeldes en Granada, herejes en Flandes e Inglaterra y, sobre todo, la lucha contra los turcos por el control del Mediterráneo.

Un tiempo apasionante que desemboca en la batalla de Lepanto, donde se dice que se derramó tanta sangre, que el mar se tiñó de rojo.

Luis Zueco (Borja, Zaragoza, 1979) es director de los Castillos de Grisel y de Bulbuente, dos fortalezas restauradas y habilitadas como alojamientos con encanto y como sede de eventos. Además, es ingeniero industrial, licenciado en Historia y máster en Investigación Artística e Histórica, miembro de la Asociación Española de Amigos de los Castillos y colaborador, como experto en patrimonio y cultura, en diversos medios de comunicación.

Ha logrado el éxito internacional de crítica y público con su fascinante Trilogía Medieval: El castillo, La ciudad y El monasterio, tres novelas que nos llevan a través de adictivas tramas de intriga ambientadas en los escenarios arquitectónicos más importantes de la época medieval.
