A:Â The total height is the height from the floor to the top of the hoop when the ladder is folded up. The highest standing level is measure from the floor to the top of the top step when the ladder is unfolded for use. The total height includes the large hoop at the top of the ladder.

Wish I'd bought this thing sooner. It's very high-quality, stable to stand on, and helps me reach the tippy top of my tall ceilings (about 12 feet). Best of all, it folds slim and takes up minimal storage space in my small NYC apartment — it slides right between my fridge and wall, you barely know it's there until you need it. The project tray is very handy too when changing bulbs, painting, etc.

Love this! Very sturdy and useful at the house. I love the shelf at the top to hold things, and it holds a ton of weight. For reference i used it as a step for a second (I'm 120 lbs) and it barely budged. Do not recommended standing on the shelf obviously, but it's sturdy. I gave 4 stars because i find mine difficult to collapse for storage.

I simply love my Rubber Maid 3 step stool and customers should know the difference between a ladder and step stool, the ladder is much larger more steps and heavier, used for big jobs such as painting. The step stool is light weigh for changing lights, hanging pictures.

This is light to move and easy collapse and re-open and the steps are wide enough and the security thingies on the feets are secure. I am much happier now with this rather than standing on chairs or the rickety 'cute' step chair I had been trying to use. As I age and my knees and everything else aren't working as well this is one thing that made my life easier this week. Please RESTOCK so I can get a 2nd one for my garage.
