Ruffino Modus Toscana IGT Italian Red Wine weaves together vibrant fruit flavors from Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot varietals. Only the best grapes were chosen from the Poggio Casciano estate and were picked at optimum ripeness. Each varietal adds its distinct characteristics – Sangiovese lends texture, Merlot adds smoothness, and Cabernet provides structure – to blend harmoniously into a delicious wine representative of Tuscany. This full-bodied dark red wine blend reveals notes of blackberries, cinnamon, and clove, with silky tannins leading to a long finish. This wine was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. Enjoy on its own or pair with wild boar ragu or your favorite Italian dish. Love the modus. Ruffino is one of Tuscany’s top producers. Although you can find their cheaper stuff on the shelves this higher end option is worth the buy.

Red blend wine is so good. I love the way it is so perfectly blended. It has the sweet flavors of the berries and the dryness of the merlot and Cabernet flavors that are all blended together.

This earthy, complex Tuscan Red will get people talking. If you are hosting an Italian Dinner and find Chianti to be tired, go with this wine. It's a bit pricy but not outrageous (worth every dollar!).
