Q: What’s the difference in appetizer plate and salad plate? 2. Is reactive glaze sour cream and sour cream the same thing? 3. I read a review that sour cream is more of a gray. Is that true?

A: Hi Ruby - The appetizer is served on an appetizer plate, which is usually about 4 to 7 inches in diameter. The appetizer plate is served on the salad plate, which is 7.5 to 8.5 inches round. The sour creams are slightly different in color. I hope this information helps. Happy shopping! – Keacia

Great size for elementary school kids and when these plates accidentally drop on tiled floors they don’t shatter into a million pieces. Taking off one star because they do show dark utensil etching very soon after use.

I never write reviews but decided to take the time to share about these plates. We are very careful with our dishes and wanted to update our everyday plates that we had for 10 years with these. Sadly, these plates chip VERY easily. When carefully putting them away, some of them have easily chipped. Beautiful plates but do not hold up. I wouldn’t repurchase.

My only warning is these plates seem like they will chip easily. We bought a side-stacking plate separator to help with any potential scraping/bumping together as I suspect it is just a matter of time until one chips. I bought an extra of every plate and bowl type that we bought for the day when one gets chipped. They are such a nice contrast of traditional and modern that it is worth it for the reasonable price of each. Husbands and kids should probably not be in charge of handling or washing though. At least not my husband.

We loved them until they started chipping. We take care of our household items and are gentle but these are notorious. They chip extremely easily and we are very very disappointed to see them go bad and they are not on the least cheap price point either. We would not recommend these.
