Q: Where is the ABS and zinc alloy used? Does it come in contact with spices and is it food grade
A: Hi GA - Thank you for reaching out. We appreciate your interest in Salt and Pepper Crank Grinder. The ABS is used for the plastic grinding mechanism parts, which are durable and resistant to wear, while the zinc alloy forms the grinding burrs or teeth. The copper finish is applied to the exterior of the grinder for aesthetic purposes. These components do not come into contact with the spices. The parts that directly grind the spices, such as the grinding mechanism, are made from zinc alloy. I hope this helps - Emma

Q: I don’t know how to open it
A: Hello natalia moraes - Great Question! Thank you for your interest in this amazing Item! How to Open and Assemble: Remove the handle: The crank handle is stored inside the grinder when packaged. Attach the handle to the top: Once removed from the inside, secure it to the top of the grinder. This enables the crank mechanism for grinding. Unscrew the top section: To fill the grinder with salt or peppercorns, gently unscrew the top portion of the grinder. Add contents: Fill the chamber with coarse salt or whole peppercorns. Reassemble and use: Screw the top back on and use the crank to grind. Hope this information helps! – Luke.

Q: Is there a difference in purchasing the small and large? i see many people buying 1 large and a small one? Can someone explain the reason?
A: It’s personal preference. Most people I think do that because it looks good visually. And also as a distinction to tell between which has salt inside and which has pepper.
