Santa Nutcracker Countdown Christmas Calendar - Threshold™

I wanted to love the Target Santa Nutcracker Countdown Calendar from Threshold, but it is an absolute disaster. The idea is cute, sure, but the execution is ridiculous. The countdown dice don’t even have the right numbers to function. Today is 33 days out and I can’t even display it because they only included one 3. How does that even happen? It’s like they didn’t bother testing it at all. Maybe it’s only meant to look cute for a handful of days, but as an actual countdown, it’s useless. Honestly, it sucks.

Horrible deisgn. Missing numbers on each dice so there are several days that you cannot create. Even my 4 year old noticed.

I loved the nutcracker itself; it’s the dice that’s the problem. They don’t have every number on them. Today is 34 days to Christmas, and there’s only a 4 on the die with the number 3…WTH. I would love a replacement set of dice to be able to accurately record the numbers lol

My 5-year asked for this in the store and was excited to change the numbers each day. Beginning at 39, we were good! Then we got to 35 and the problems began. This comes with 2 number cubes, and it is impossible to make 35, 34, 33. This tells me there are other numbers that we won't be able to make, but I haven't looked at all the options yet. The nutcracker is cute and has the potential to be a fun daily coutdown, but should come with a 3rd number cube to be fully usable.

It’s not too big but still noticeable and festive. The design is adorable, and the countdown blocks are easy to switch out each day. My daughter is especially excited to use it as we count down the days until Christmas, which makes it even more special. Such a cute and fun addition to our holiday décor!

It’s a cute decoration but you can’t actually use this countdown for the higher days every day. I just tried to make the countdown say 54 and I’m unable to. I was excited for my daughter to have a countdown that went above the 20s. That’s not the case with this countdown.

I love that it has the little numbers on it to change each day to reflect how many days to Christmas. The design throughout this piece is so nice as well. It’s made from sturdy material too so I think it’s going to hold up really well. My kiddos think this is just the cutest piece of holiday decor we have. A true winner in our house!

The paint work is beautiful and the craftsmanship feels solid. However, this is a Nutcracker in appearance only. The mouth does not open or close despite having a lever on the back . You have to be careful with the date cubes as well since they tend to fall out pretty easy. If you were looking for a quality decoration, this would be great. If you could actually want this for cracking nuts, you will be disappointed. I received an incentive to write this review.

I cannot see this piece getting knocked down if anyone happens to bump a table that it would be sitting on. He will be beautiful alone in your home, or in a group for other Nutcracker. It is very well made, with nice materials and details to the whole Nutcracker piece. They have gone into nice details I received an incentive to write this review.

However, I was less than impressed after opening this item. The back lever very flimsy, and the green present he is holding is dented. I can’t imagine this would last long. The numbers fall out of the green present holder very easily and did so as soon as I gently turned it. I received an incentive to write this review.
