Q: Does the Mount do a good job of holding downward tilt steady when tightened? And does the mount sag at all when extended?

Regarding your question about the Sanus Large Full Motion Wall Mount 42-85" TV's: Most of those issues come from not properly leveling the mount to the wall or not attaching the mount to a stud in the wall. I'd recommend making sure you connect this to studs on your wall and the mount is properly leveled to avoid these issues. Great question! submitted byRobert - 3 years agoTarget expert supportA: Mine didn't tilt either, but I talked to Sanus about a solution and their suggestion worked. Use graphite powder as a lubricant to grease the sides and it will allow the plate to move along the track.

The SANUS Full Motion wall mount (ALF325) is perfect in many ways. It's very sturdy. The amount of steel and its weight invokes confidence that it's going to last. The installation instructions are detailed and easy to follow. Even though the stud spacing is limited to using typical 16-inch studs, the center post can be adjusted left and right to position the TV in the middle of the wall. The articulating arms operate smoothly and extend the TV out far from the wall allowing our 48" TV to swivel at least 45 degrees. The arms then fold back against the wall and take-up just 2.5" behind the TV. I've ordered a 2nd one to replace the wall mount in our family room.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. The tv does not stay level due to poor design. After leveling the tv and tightening the leveling screw, once we let go of the tv the weight of the tv causes it to slide on the top hook part of the bracket (where the vesa mount hooks on to the wall mount), therefore becoming unlevel again. It doesn’t matter how much we tighten the leveling screw. We tried several times with the same results each time. This will be returned for sure.

One of the easiest TV mounts I have used! I wanted to wall mount my tv over my fireplace, but the studs behind the wall were off center. This mount let me mount it to the studs and then slide it over so I could center it over my fireplace. Super pleased with the quality of it as well. I will definitely be using this mount again for other TVs in the future!

This is a very sturdy TV mount. Installation was straight forward and took about 15 min in total. I have 2 small kids and needed a safe way to mount our 65” TV in their playroom. The only reason why it isn’t getting 5 stars is because the instructions say you need a minimum of 16” between studs but does not include a maximum. For that reason, I had to change the spot the mount was originally intended for.

This mount is heavy duty. We have Sanus mounts for other TVs in our home however most are tilt only for our bigger tvs, full rotation for our small ones. These mounts are seriously made to last. I will say I think the mount is actually heavier than my tv itself so that was the only downside when installing since it took a bit of muscle to hold the brackets while getting the bolts anchored into the wall stud. Once in we’ll enough to hold the mount it was a matter of tightening and positioning the TV. I wasn’t sure it would be worth it for the price but was sincerely proven wrong. Expensive compared to other brands but in my opinion well worth it.

I have studs spaced at 24 inches, and this mount ONLY works with studs spaced in the 16-18 inch range. Someone asked this question in the Q&A section, and the manufacturer response was "it depends on your TV." It DOES NOT depend on your TV, it's a very simple answer. I will need to return this mount as it will not fit on my wall, and I will not hang this mount and my TV with this mount only fixed to one stud. I'm leaving 3 stars as I think this is a good product, but the WALL compatibility is KEY INFORMATION that has not been included with this product.

Really sturdy wall mount. Directions are clear, read them to see why you might need spacers if the back of your tv is curved. Manual states a weight limit of 120 pounds. Super easy to install. Very happy with my new bedroom tv wall mount. :)
