Q: Can this connector be used in a car - to connect the phone to the CarPlay app in a Subaru, specifically? Where currently I use a USB to Lightning connector? Thanks.

A: No this will be a Lightning to a 3.5mm connector, which is commonly the size of headphone jacks. If your care has a 3.5mm aux input as well as a USB this could be connected into the AUX port on the car sterro.
