Kids can sketch, write, and design all in 1 with this innovative Journal Bookmaking Kit! Materials included are ready to make 30 spiral-bound books with chipboard covers and 30 white pages (80 lbs. white sulphite drawing paper) for sketching and writing on. Both the inside and outside of journals can be embellished with nearly any medium, including gel markers, paint, metallic or self-adhesive paper, mosaics, and glitter glue. Lends great introduction to free-form writing, gratitude journals, writing a "first book," quiet time activities, planners, and more at home or in the classroom. Binding coils measure 9 inches; pages and covers measure 6 x 9 inches.

I buy this for my Art students for the beginning of the school year and have them design and make their own Art journals/sketchbooks to use during class the rest of the year and they love it! The blank chipboard allows them to express their individuality creatively and provides me with the opportunity to introduce all the various media that can be used in decorating it, and also opens up the option for collage art! Makes for a great lesson plan and can be utilized all year long for expressive writing, sketching, planning, and note taking. The best part is that the kids really enjoy it!
