[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was upgrading a cheaper with Schlage. Usually trouble free, but upon installation the two long screws that hold the knobs together became very hard to drive the last 1/4 inch. Not wanting to risk marring the finish, I had to take them out of the door, and I force reamed the screws to their needed depth while the assembly was off. This seemed to solve the problem when I retried installing them in the door. Maybe some seize adhesive was too aggressive in the channel threads, or the casting was fouled? Second, the crimps on the knob escutcheon seemed irregular and hasty, they detracted from a cleaner appearance. I still like Schlage, but was surprised to have these difficulties
