We've had this set for a while and it has held up very well to lots of "imaginative" imaginative play from older horse girls (8-10 yo). This carriage isn't taking leisurely walks through the park, it gets dragged by galloping horses sprinting away from mountain lions, it rolls down mountain sides (couch pillows), once it rammed into a cafe, sometimes it's driven by dogs, I think it exploded once. It's survived lots of drama and doesn't have a mark on it, worth the money.

Got at rural king on sale for $17.50. Probably not a set I'd buy again or one that I would pay $40 for. Harder for the kids to fasten the people in and the lead rope portion is bent/shaped odd so it has a bit of a mind of it's own. Not sure this set would work with any other horse. Don't see it getting as much use in the play area. Dog is cute and well made.

To my surprise, 3 hours later they are still playing with the horse and carriage and all the cool picnic accessories! They had so much fun creating an imaginary world and telling stories with this toy. It’s a great toy for 3-5 year olds that have a big imagination. It wasn’t too hard to put together either!

She helped me get it set up, which didn't take long to do (instructions are included) I'm very impressed with the all of the detail on these toys, recommend for 5-12 year olds. The pieces are great quality and very durable. My daughter loves that the doll straps in and can hold the horses rein's. If you have a litte girl (or even a little boy) they'll love this, especially if they already like horses!

It was pretty easy to put together even if you didn’t look at the instructions, which I didn’t since my daughter lost the instructions. She had a hard time with getting the girl to be “buckle in” the carriage, so she did need my help with that. The carriage also didn’t seem to roll as easily as it could have. My daughter thought the toy was very cute but it didn’t really hold her attention for long. Even though my daughter is 6 years old, I’m wondering if that toy isn’t for someone maybe a little older who has more hand coordination and might appreciate the toy more. Overall, easy to assembly but my daughter didn’t really enjoy the toy.
