A: Hello Trinah! This model in the color of pink is not discontinued, it just has taken some time due to the world wide shipping delays for them to come back in stock. Thanks for reaching out!

Q: While a drink holder would fit, why mount a water bottle on the bottom, where the gravity will shake the bottle out? A special water bottle holder for mounting on bottom...thanks!
submitted by matt57 - 5 years ago
A: Hi Matt,
As long as your not doing crazy jumps or terrain, the water bottle will fit perfectly and stay in the bottle cage :)
Thanks, Alex

Q: Hi, thank you for this Q&A. Can the weight limit go at all over 150 pounds or not? I would have liked to see 250-400 pounds, in case of adding a basket, etc.
submitted by MDL - 5 years ago
A: Hi MDL,
The Schwinn Ranger 24" is a kids mountain and can hold up to 150 pounds, but the Schwinn Ranger 26" women's bike can hold up to 250 pounds. The 26" would be more suitable for your needs if you're exceeding the lower 150 pound limit.
You can also add a basket to either of these bikes.
Thanks, Alex

Q: Hi, thank you for this Q&A. I am looking for a sand bike since I live near the beach. Would sand be included in "all terrain" or "mountain n trail terrain"? How well would this bike do on sand? And can you still ride it on the sidewalk too?
submitted by MDL - 5 years ago
A: Hi MDL,
The best bike for sand/snow or tougher terrain would be a FAT bike with extra wide and grippy tires that can be ridden on sand but it is also a more limited style bicycle. A mountain bike or all terrain bike will struggle to keep speed on sand, but is great as an all around bicycle. You can certainly ride the Schwinn Ranger on the sidewalk and on light terrain.
Thanks, Alex

Q: The website says this is Aluminum frame but then states it's 40 lbs. That sounds heavy for aluminum. Also the purple version of this bike states that it is steel. Is the bike steel or aluminum frame?
submitted by pink - 6 years ago
A: Hello, The 24" Ranger does have an aluminum frame. The weight shown on the website is the shipping weight. This bike will weight around 30 pounds assembled. Thanks, Jen

Q: If I order a bike online and its shipped to the my house will there be assembly needed?
submitted by Me Kyees - 7 years ago
A: The bike will arrive partially assembled. The final assembly steps will include installing the seat, handlebars, pedals, and front wheel. There will also be initial adjustments that will need to be done prior to riding. It can take a several tries to get the adjustments dialed in if you've never done it before, but the owner's manual covers all steps in detail. You can all give us a call and we can walk you through any assembly or adjustment questions you may have.
This was purchased for my ten year old daughter. My son put it together for her which took about 20 minutes. She’s had it for about one week now and loves it! It rides very smooth she said. Great purchase!

The rear brake lever is loose and grinds against its housing causing it to catch. Compared to the front brake it appears that a washer on the rear brake lever was placed on the wrong side of a bolt allowing the lever to jiggle. The brake handle assembly was not designed to be easily disabled, and it will be difficult to fix. I expected better quality from Schwinn

The 2 bicycles arrived in perfect condition and were very easy to assemble. Impressed with the quality of the packaging from the manufacture. Special thanks to Fedex Ground for getting them here in one piece.
