Description

The Scosche High Definition Digital Dash camera captures and stores important vehicular events.
Capture important road evidence with the 100˚ wide-angle easy to install Scosche Dash Cam.
Simply attach the camera to your windshield with the included suction cup mount and plug it in to your vehicles 12V socket. It includes an 8GB SD memory card and can accept up to a 32GB card. As a backup, the camera cycle records and will record over old footage when the memory card fills up.   • A: Typically a 4GB memory card can record up to 50 minutes of 720p video, so you should expect approximately 1 hour and 30 - 40 minutes of video recording with an 8GB memory card until the memory card becomes full. This model camera can recognize up to a 32GB memory card max. It's an easy basic camera. It's ready to use which is nice. Not too much memory but can always be upgraded if you purchase memory card. It's our first dash cam so I'm sure it's good for beginners. Easy setup and just every thing ready for you but not the best.

It has a bit of a learning curve but it's a great little dash camera. It comes off the suction clip for easy storage when not driving & the clarity is pretty good. It has night view & you can choose to turn off audio recording as well. The memory is not the best, but I delete footage each day to have a clear memory for the next, but you could totally just upgrade to a new memory card. Overall it's a great price for a solid piece of car security

Overall, it’s an okay camera. I like the fact it comes with an 8GB microSD card and is ready to go right out the box. The 1080P quality appears more like 480 or 720. When I downloaded the footage on my computer, it was extremely grainy and did not appear to be HD. Aside from video quality, it has some good features. I like the “motion detection” feature. Anytime someone or something crossed the front of my car while parked, it would record a short video. I found the auto-off feature useful which help preserve the battery. The USB cord is 10ft; plenty of length to route through you vehicle without having cords hanging. Additionally, the mounting is extremely easy and securely mounts to your windshield. The LCD screen is convenient, but the quality isn’t the greatest. Navigating the features was frustrating the first time around, but I quickly figured it. Some settings return to default after the device’s battery dies. Overall, It’s not the top of line dash cam; you get what you pay for. I’m not a fan of the video quality, but it has a few good feature and great battery life.

What should I do with this cord

The camera is sharp. My biggest issue is the cord. The power outlet is on top and I have no idea what or where to put the cord. My charger outlet is in the middle of my console. I tried to wrap it under stuff but the cord is too thick. It feels pretty dangerous for me to have so much excess cord. If you are able to figure out where to hide the cords it will be good for you. I wish there was a camera for both sides so you can see in the car and outside.

Basic Dash Cam at best

If you are looking for the most basic of basic dash cams...well, I suppose this is better than nothing. This camera claims to record in 1080p. It is not that crisp. Also the frames for playback are staggered and almost stutter sometimes. Night vision isnt as bad as I thought it would be based on the cameras over all poor quality. So I suppose I can tack another star on for that. I am not a very tech savvy person by any means but I just expected this camera to perform slightly better based on all the features it has. It is better than nothing and it does record. But the sound does not seem to work, i even tried it indoors to see but it really is almost like static. I guess this would be useful for someone that needs video proof of their driving either in a professional capacity or for your teens. You can see make and models on cars and license plate info for the most part. But if you are looking for high resolution recording as well as audible recording than I would make a hard pass on this one.

This is a junk camera. Won’t stay charged more then few minutes. So you have to keep it plugged in. Horrible camera quality it goes on and off even plugged in. I don’t think it will last at all. It’s tiny and light weight. It does come with a memory card that’s 8g.

The dash camera contains a small battery which is not meant to solely power the device, but allow it to save any footage it is currently recording if the camera were to lose power. It is required to have the camera connected to a 12 Volt power source using the included 12 Volt mini USB power adapter. Worked great for about an hour, then stopped. Set up was easy, attached to window with no problem. Small enough to be out of the way but big enough screen to get good footage of anything. Unfortunately after about an hour the screen stopped working. I restarted the camera and still just a black screen. Was not dropped or hit, just stopped working.

This little dash cam is small and portable great for occasional use. My Husband installed it and said it was very straightforward and easy to install. Ongoing use has been easy and it’s also super easy to disconnect when not in use. Gives good piece of mind for people who drive for work or just in general. One star removed for picture quality.

I don't advice buying this. The night vision doesn't work and the menu button sometimes works. This is a major disappointment. I can not get it to do what it is supposed to do.

I bought this for my mother last summer and it has stopped working a long time ago. The buttons are not responsive, it just turns on and freezes. It is useless. This is unacceptable. It has not even been a year. Dashcams need to be reliable and be in function when needed.
