Q: Does this product breakdown into small plastic pieces? Thats my problem with the original scrub daddy and I'm trying to get away from contributing to the microplastics problem.

A: Hi Mandyk, unlike the OG Scrub Daddy, this scrubber is not made of FlexTexture®. It's made from coconut husk fiber and post-consumer plastic and will not break down in the same manner as the OG.

Not the same quality as other Scrub Daddy Products
I was excited to try this product as I am a fan of the original Scrub Daddyl This needs to be twice the thickness; like the 2 in the package should be one scrubber. It has a nice coconutty smell as it is made from coconut husk, which is a great idea! It does scrub well without scratching, but I'm not seeing that is it an improvement to the original product. Food gets stuck in the texture and after about 5 uses it seems worn out and almost ready for the trash. I don't see purchasing this again. I'll stick to the Scrub Daddy original.

Nice scrubber
I never used the original scrub daddy so I cannot say what this is like compared to that one. I only bought this because it claims to have coconut husk and is made of recycled materials. Makes washing dishes really easy. The only complaint is that the scrubber does not last long and eventually has to be thrown away from getting worn out and out of shape. It does technically still have some plastic but is a better alternative if you are looking for something that's a little bit more environmentally friendly.

Good scrub with less plastic
Smells nice, like coconut. I like that it reduces plastic. Scrub works great for bathtub soap scum. If you're looking for a dish sponge replacement I'd recommend a cellulose sponge. Totally different product than original scrub daddy.

Scrubbing with your fingers experience
This is a washed out experience of the original scrubby. It is very thin and flimsy. If trying to put a soap on it with a pump, it mostly misses to put it on the sponge. The surface is minimal with the holes being more predominant than the sponge surface and it ages flat (see pic). Won’t buy this kind again.
