Description
The Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Brandon Ellis Dyad Parallel Axis humbucker pickup provides high-output tone tailored for shredding. Combining the hot bridge coil of a Parallel Axis Trembucker Distortion and the crisp highs of a Crazy 8's neck coil, this hybrid humbucker produces an aggressive yet articulate sound perfect for the virtuosic playing of The Black Dahlia Murder's guitarist Brandon Ellis. The dual-slotted pole pieces provide better string-to-string balance and clarity than traditional humbuckers, allowing complex chords and lightning-fast arpeggios to ring through clearly. Despite its high output, the Dyad offers a surprisingly versatile range of tones. Flipping the pickup upside down accesses its warmer, chewier side for a fuller midrange ideal for chunky riffing or jazzier chords. Built to Ellis's exacting standards, this pickup captures the tone that has become his signature.
