Awful. Smelled and tasted like chemicals. Like ammonia or something similar. Checked expiration date, but it was not expired. Decided to try another one and same exact thing. Definitely did not allow my family to eat any more.

Taste is alright and it convenient, but I swear to God they superglue the plastic film to the tray of chicken. It literally will not peel off, you have to cut it open. Gotta have like superhuman strength or something to open it.

This was completely inedible.. the meat was dry as a bone. Tried making some chicken salad out of it but couldn’t save it. Expensive. We ended up throwing it away.

So I’ve been using this chicken and the grilled one a lot lately and it’s been working well and obv making dinner not such a time-consuming slog. I used it a lot this winter to make white chicken chili and that comes out great. As does any other dish where the flavor gets absorbed by the chicken itself. I say all this with one caveat; it doesn’t freeze well. It’s not awful when frozen and defrosted, but the texture seems to change and seems almost grainy. It very well may advise not to freeze, idk, but my advice would be to buy it fresh and use it quickly. If you do that, it’s a great way to make something decent quickly.

It tasted great. I was looking for something to make meals more convenient and forgot to check the label. I got my usual symptoms of being glutened and then checked the label. Yeast extract. Not labeled Gluten-free. Not Gluten-free. Too bad because I would have put this in my regular rotation.

Just a heads up for Celiac friends - this product has yeast extract and is not certified gluten free. I had hoped it would be since its chicken, but there are many additives and preservatives.

I personally cannot stand the good and gather grilled chicken breast, so I was really fully expecting these to be gross. To my surprise, if you follow the instructions and put the water in prior to microwaving, it wasn’t terrible when used to shorten the cook of using fresh chicken.
