Q: Do the bracelets repel other insects like ticks?

A: Hello, Murphy. Sadly they do not. The best protection from ticks, chiggers, black flies, mosquitoes, and no see ums comes for our Shubug Active (green bottle). This formula dries in less than a minutes, has no scent after it dries, and protects against mosquitoes for 12 hours and all the other critters for 8 hours. However, if you put them back in the sealable bag, when not in use, they should maintain their scent for about 12 hours. If they become scentless, they should be disposed of. They offer added protection, but you must use a repellent spray to cover all exposed skin. A mosquito will probe an area of skin the size of a quarter if it is not treated with a lotion or spray. Great bracelets to avoid mosquito bites. Love the effectiveness. I like that the smell it’s not intense, so you feel comfortable while wearing them. I like to wear one I the ankle. The color are beautiful too. So, it looks like a ponytail band.

These bracelets work so much better than bug spray! I put these on the kiddos ankles to keep the bugs from biting them when they are playing in the yard. They love wearing them and I love that I don’t have to worry about toxic spray getting into their skin, eyes and mouth. The compact size makes them easy to stick in my purse and stroller.

The packaging is cute and does say it contains citronella to prevent bugs. The colors are cute. The smell is not overpowering. You have to sniff really close for it to be potent in my opinion. They stretch pretty wide out that adults could use them too. Thankfully it’s not bad bug season right now but will be using these when we go camping with my kids!

These citronella bracelets work pretty well. They smell really good, not too strong and they don’t irritate our skin at all. The stretchy bands fit any wrist size, and we even wear them on our ankles. We use these for our trips to the lake, they also work perfectly for the nightly sports games/practices, keeping bugs away without needing to spray anything. Super convenient and kid friendly.

I was not aware that these Citronella Bracelets even existed but Im so happy I know now! My kids love to play in the backyard for hours at a time but also hate mosquitoes. I put these bracelets around their ankles because they don't really care for the scent (even tho I don't think its bad). But we have definitely seen a difference since they've been wearing them..its like the mosquitoes are there but not anywhere near the kids. These bracelets come in so many bright fun colors and are pretty comfortable fitting on the kids. They are also reusable which is a plus. We will start to use them.more as the summer season is approaching. Overall, great product!

I don't have kids but I do have a grandmother that hates being sprayed but loves going outside to smoke constantly, and these are a life saver. They do smell strongly of citronella but that is a small price to pay for no mosquito bites. Personally I have found that they last 36 hours of continuous use however if you're only going out for a few hours at a time, put them in a Ziploc bag when you're done and they will last a week. The only nitpick I have is that I wish they had packs of one specific color, but again that's just me nitpicking.

These are wonderful mosquito repellents! We love that the bracelets can be worn on wrists or ankles. They have a strong citronella scent that has lasted all day. They definitely repelled mosquitoes while we were out working in the woods and in the yard. It’s nice to have the variety of colors too so each kid can pick their favorite color.

Shubug Citronella Bracelets are great quick and easy items to grab and go for the kids. Kids don't mind throwing these on to avoid bug bites and they can wear them all day. I love that natural oils are used to prevent bug bites.

We have had a few warm days so far since spring, and my backyard is a mosquito oasis during the summer months. Surprisingly, my kid wore these on a recent zoo trip, and there was no weird reaction to the bracelet. My kid was happy to color coordinate with his outfit the bracelet allowed for fidgety movements, and idle play, I’m stretching it out, but it did not distort its shape. The smell is not overwhelming, which is great as I feared in my kid, would not want to wear it if it’s too strong. My kid wore this for six hours with no issues or complaints of keeping it on as well as no bug bites, which is a win win in my book.

These work great. Whole family of 5 went on a walk at a state park on a mid 80 degree day and did not have any issues with bugs. Everyone got to pick the color they wanted. Fits comfortably for all sizes. They do give off a strong smell but guessing that is what repels the bugs. I don't know how many uses they get, but the resealable bag seems to keep them fresh.
