This portable fridge/freezer performed excellently on a recent road trip, once I understood its features. It requires at least 12 V to start in full-power mode, so the car must be running. If the voltage drops below this level, an E1 error occurs. It’s fine to turn the car off briefly, but longer downtime requires restarting the vehicle. Great for road trips!

Fabulous little travel fridge
The 37-quart version is perfect for us. It’s compact but heavy enough at 25 pounds that you wouldn’t want to carry it long distances. The refrigerator is quiet, cools quickly, and is straightforward to use thanks to instructions printed directly on the device. Temperature control is accurate, though small fluctuations can occur depending on where items are placed inside. We tested it with a 20Ah lithium battery, and it ran in Eco mode for 15 hours at 40°F, simulating an overnight stay. Overall great product

During a trip to Hartley Point, my wife wanted to freeze food by the pool before heading to the resort. We tested the refrigerator in a canyon for six hours, and it performed exceptionally. Although our SUV’s plug required the ignition to stay on, switching to a jump pack powered the unit for hours. The fridge kept everything cold for two days. Packing was easier without worrying about ice or melted water. If you’re planning off-grid travel, a solar generator might be a great addition for seamless operation.
