The original, the best...
Great saw, switched from Makita to the wormdrive skilsaw. I love it, wish i would have made the switch sooner. So nice cutting from the right side. I hope this will be the last saw i ever need.

Best Saw I Have Ever Used
I have used 2 or 3 different brands of circular saws and this one is by far the best. I strongly recommend this saw to anyone truly concerned about reliable performance.

Powerful and easy to use
I used this saw to cut though 2.5" of maple bowling alley. Over and over. Nails, screws, and bowling ball hardened hardwood, and you'd think I was cutting fir 1x6. It was so easy.

Powerful and Quality Feel
The torque advantage of the worm drive made cutting 2 inch butcher block a breeze. So far the saw has been good, time will tell.

Converted Lefty
I'm a lefty whose been using the flexvolt sidewinder for the last 5 years or so. Always wanted the line of sight on my left side. Just started using the corded mag77lt and am blown away by how sweet this saw is. After a couple of days I'm already feeling more comfortable on my right side just because of how this saw is arranged. Using essential craftsman's crochet cord method and honestly not that much extra time using a cord compared to batteries. I typically have to set up my spt99-11 at jobsites and the skilsaw hangs off the table saw stand so I don't even have to bend. The cutting is so friggin smooth and easier to track straight than the dewalt sidewinders. Couldn't be happier. Came full of oil. I did hockey tape the handle for extra grip which is something I do with clamps, chisels, chainsaws, etc.. Only thing I'd ask for is PLEASE make a right blade worm drive skilsaw for lefties! You did it with the sidewinders so please think of the lefties. Luckily for me I'm pretty much equal on both sides so can adapt but PLEASE! I'd pay a premium to have both right and left blade worm drive skilsaws for sure. I understand the market isn't maybe as big for the right bladed skilsaws so I'd pay more. Also think it might be interesting to play around with a wide shoe on the blade side. Don't know if this has already been explored but might provide even better balance side to side, especially when making cuts at the end of the board. Over all I'm converted to skilsaw after using these two products. SPT99-11 and spt77wml. keep it up skilsaw.

You can't go wrong.
You can't go wrong with that. It could be sold with a case so the experience with the tool is even better.

I wish I had bought this years ago
This was a replacement for a 20 year old Makita Hypoid. After a few week of work with this saw I full understand the reputation the Skil worm drive has built over the years. Noticeably lighter with a far superior foot this saw is a beast.

Best saw ever made
Been around construction my whole life done it for the last 8 years 3 running my own company always used a makita sidewinder but bought this saw after mine recently burnt up and I’ll never go back the power is unmatched as well as the controllability the left hand blade makes accurate cuts way easier the weight is barley even noticeable once you’ve got some hours on it I can’t say enough good about it this is a lifetime tool if you take care of it and I can’t believe I didn’t switch sooner if your a professional this is the saw for you it’s in a league of its own can’t wait to try the battery version im a firm believer in skil and this will be the only saws on my jobs from now on if your on the fence BUY IT!

A good 5 star saw an improvement from my last one
I like the balance, weight, power, the way the blade lines up with your arm rather than off to the side, and the table so that I can run the saw up against a straight edge.

Best saw for ripping.
This saw made the job of ripping 2" X 4" boards from 2" slabs of white oak that I had cut on my portable saw mill. I had tried two other circular saws and while they worked good for crosscutting the slabs they just would not rip them. I am very pleased with this saw and would recommended it to anyone looking for a good saw.

optimized for OSB and plywood
The corded SKIL worm-drive saw is excellent for OSB and plywood. But it's so-so when you need to make a really accurate cut on an arbitrary angle in dimensional lumber. The SKIL blade kerf indicator notch is wide and shaped like \_/ which isn't as good for accuracy as a rectangular notch is, where one edge of the rectangle marks the edge of the kerf. And even though the line-of-sight to the blade is pretty good, that approach has you tilting your head and peering in at the blade and a tiny section of pencil mark. It's more ergonomic and more accurate to line up a kerf indicator on the plate with the full pencil mark in sight.

Best Circular Saw — Worth Every Penny
I did my home work regarding this saw, and it is amazing. A lil' heavy, but I couldn't be happier with it. Built a few things, replaced some sub—flooring and even sawed through some thick dead tree/bush branches. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

It’ll change your life
A lot easier to use for straight cuts than a conventional circular saw. The power seems to be more consistent, resulting in easier cuts that don’t bind up. Wish I had gotten one these years ago.

Great Worm Drive Circular Saw
I love the warm drive saw and am glad to have one. I have a corded (standard) circular Skilsaw, which I got it used, for over 18 years now, but the warm drive saw is different. It feels as if it cuts like butter. It is easier to control cutting straight line or square.

It is a cut above the sidewinders
I love it. It cuts like a dream, and I can use the visual guide to get a "good enough" cut for construction grade cuts. I replaced a worn out entry level sidewinder with this, and very appreciative of several substantial improvements. This is much heavier than a simple sidewinder, but its understandable because it's a beast!
