Good for light weight use
Good light weight saw. Water trough worked well but does need monitoring with frequency to ensure cutting moisture is maintained. As long as one takes their time, the motor will work well. Be prepared to protect work surface as much moisture and tile debris will spread beneath saw. Cleanup was a little time consuming, but for the money, worked well

Mighty and affordable
This is a small but mighty wet tile saw. Used it to install the backsplash in my kitchen. Worked without a glitch. Well priced as well!

Wet Tile Saw Review
The tile saw works great, the main issues is the bracket for the blade guard, I’m worried about the safety function if it comes off or moves, which it will has. The bracket and screws aren’t stable to the saw unit.

Outstanding!
Love this saw. Did everything I needed it to do, tiled a kitchen backsplash with Zellige tile, around a window, around receptacles, stove hood. Cut the tiles with precision and ease. And at a great price too. This is a keeper!

Lightweight tile saw
I was surprised that it worked out great, for the small light weight it is it cuts straight with no problems. Will be using it again for my next project

Did the job
Worked great for 12” ceramic tile straight cuts. Also worked well with the miter cuts for trim tiles. Fence is sturdy. Measurement markings could be better delineated i.e. hashes on a ruler.

Not good
Took it back not very user friendly. Looked like I had taken a bath with the first cut. Water all over the place. I like skil tools but this one not so much

Great saw for smaller jobs, rip fence is garbage!
Overall, this works great for smaller jobs and smaller tiles. I used it for a complete bathroom remodel that included a full tiled shower and floor with larger and smaller tile. It held up very well. Cutting the larger tile requires some imagination yet very doable. The blade guard is average at best, just expect to have water thrown everywhere. The most frustrating part of this saw is the rip fence...it's garbage! It is very difficult to set the fence to be straight. It requires securing both ends which then tends to cause one end to be off. I often would only secure only one end and was careful not to allow the unsecured end to adjust during the cut. I consider this as much a design flaw than a functional flaw. I was generous with giving 4 starts considering this one huge concern.

A better way to attached black cover guard.
Big problem securing black guard covering the blade. Those two screws do not catch the openings with any amount of pressure. Had to provide my screws with nuts and lock washers.

Hello Lou, We appreciate you reviewing the SKIL Tile Saw. The included screws need to start from the bottom to thread in and secure the guard for this model. If you have any questions or any additional feedback, please feel free to send SKIL a direct message at one of our social channels Facebook, X, or Instagram. Thank you!

Great Wet Saw
it worked great. Easy to use, and the cuts were straight, clean with no jagged edges. I was even able to take off and 1/8" off one side.

Love this saw
Love this thing. Thought about renting a tile saw. This did a wonderful job with every cut I needed. Very powerful. Very precise. Very safe. Not like my huge table saw that wants to eat my forearm. Going to start the second bathroom tile job because (in part) of how great the initial floor looks. Thanks Skil.

Great saw for rock cutting
I love this little saw! This is my second, the first died after 10 years of pretty regular use. I'm a rockhound and use the saw to cut or trim rocks to polish or tumble. The blade that comes with it is ok for rock, but probably better for tile and softer rock.

Wet Saw Review
This was the first time using a wet saw, and after reading the instructions and viewing some videos, I was blessed to be able to cut porcelain tile without fracturing any pieces! I kept a small bottle of water available, and after each piece, I resupplied the water. Clean up went easy; I was able to wipe things clean and allowed to dry before storing back in the box. It will be ready for the next tile job I'll have next year. This saw performed well. Be sure to have a level table, preferably outdoors, and to have that 'drip loop' for the electrical connection. Rinse out the reservoir periodically to save the build-up of the silt, and keep a close eye on the water. This unit performs well.
