For bath mat care and maintenance, we suggest the following; To prevent build up on your mat or on your tub, we recommend cleaning the mat regularly. To clean the underside of the mat, lay it down in the tub upside down. Spray a non-bleach household cleaner on the mat and allow to sit for 15-20 minutes. Then scrub it with a scrub brush that would be used for a tub or shower walls. For tougher stains allow the cleaner to stand for 30 minutes or longer. Lifting, rinsing and hanging to dry after each use will help to reduce the amount of build up on the mat or tub. To clean any marks on your tub we would recommend using a standard tub cleaner. A cleaner that specifically removes stains or uses an abrasive safe for tubs would be the best option. Ensure to follow the cleaner's use instructions.

Q: Does this mat have to be pulled out to dry after each use ?

This prevents the build up of mold/mildew on the mat. Personal shower products such as shampoo, soap, etc. can easily build up under a bath mat if it is not rinsed thoroughly after each use. Q: Actual size?The description says 15.9x16, a question answered says 30x16, and another question answered says it’s for a tub, and the picture is a rectangle, so I’m confused as to which is correct. I’m hoping the 30x16 is correct.

submitted byChristopher - 8 years agoTarget staff supportA: The mat that I bought was composed of a soft plastic, with suction cups to grip the floor or the tub. It provided a slip-proof surface in the tub and on the bathroom floor. The suction cups did lose suction over time, and the cups and the mat needed cleaning in a washing machine, with use. Mopping the floor may have affected the mat.
