A: There is a liner hole, and the lid does come off. The can best fits dog poop bags.

These little cans are the perfect little tissue and lint catchers. Very sturdy and well weighted for tip resistance. I bought one for the laundry room. I absolutely love this little desktop trashcan! It's visually appealing, solid, well designed, and the lid is a thick steel that flips. the body is steel and quite sturdy. the enamel doesn't seem to chip or scratch very easily. I bought it in two colors! It fits the up & up diaper waste disposal bags, too!

In the product description it says that the body is stainless. The only thing stainless is the top of the lid. The body is plastic, not stainless. Very disappointing since I only bought this because I thought it was stainless. The lid is weighted and the bottom part is plastic and that was broken when I received it.

Do I need this? No. But my inner Virgo likes having a tiny garbage can to put my used K-cups. I love it. Just FYI only the lid and base are stainless steel, the can part is plastic but for $6 no complaints.
